I come back to this a few times a year. It's one of those special recipes that involve stuff I always have! I'm not that excited about tuna, so it slowly builds up in the kitchen.... I have to say these onions make a big change, and I have made them several times now, it's a big treat each time. This dish is more than the sum of its parts somehow.

I'm watching BTS in the Soop right now and one of them, (Taehyungiee) make a Tuna Mayo rice to partner with their Ramen. And because of it, I'm planning to make one for my lunch tomorrow. But I must say, your version of Tuna mayo is fancier! hehe I'm gonna follow this recipe! Thank you! :)

I thought he was going to walk on screen when you were talking about him. I really do like the SPAM mayo rice and other SPAM things, but have seen so many Korean Tuna recipes lately I have decided to try them. Got a big can of tuna! The Korean brand is very expensive here for some reason, so I haven't tried it yet. Got a commercial size can of tuna, about 1.5Kilos of overcooked fish. Soon I'll know if I like it or not!

I was looking in my cupboard, and saw tuna. I remembered the 추막밥 that I used to eat on my way to work in Seoul. So, I found your video and did two balls and then this dish for lunch. 맛있었어요! 고맙습니다!

Wow! The next time I have leftover tuna salad from my sandwich, I will add it on top of rice and scrambled eggs. The onions seem to be in a homemade teriyaki sauce which I can make with sugar or honey instead of corn syrup. What a cool idea! I have never heard of this dish and it is a little scary to my American palate but I like all the flavors in it so I think it will be fun to try. Please post more unique korean dishes that we may not have heard of!

Kwon's Corner wow I didn’t know you were Korean American! Is your dad from America? One of the things that makes Korean food unique for me is how much spiciness goes into everything. I’m so lost when it comes to the different kinds of Korean chili powder. In the US we have cayenne powder and that’s it. I can’t handle very spicy food, at Korean restaurants I ask for my tofu soup to be level 0 or 1 (3 being the most spicy.) it would be nice if you had a video talking about all the spices you keep in your kitchen and what are the best Options if you don’t like your food spicy or if you want extra spicy.

@@CourtneyinSF I'm so sorry I reply late. Both of my parents are Korean. I just took a test and became American citizen. Thank you so much for suggesting amazing ideas. I'll definitely cover that later. Btw, if you keep eating korean food, eventually you will be good at spicy food. My girlfriend used to not be able to handle spicy food but now she can eat better than me XD

Kwon's Corner congrats on your citizenship! I like your videos contrasting american and korean culture, would love to see more of that kind of content. I wish Sarah was in more videos! I wonder if it’s hard to be vegan in Korea.

Just what I am craving today... I like that you used the whole onion too. I always use half, and then the other half goes into the fridge never to be seen again until garbage day 😆 Also, I added some canned corn and a little wasabi paste. Yum!
