I'll always say it; Ted DiBiase is probably the greatest wrestler to never get the NWA belt. Unfortunately, he had to be working in the NWA at the same time as Flair.

It's strange that Ted DiBiase never even visited JCP. The touring Ric Flair always came to face him for "The Big Gold" in a place like Houston or New Orleans. And it was in Tulsa in about 1985 that a sadistic attack by Ric Flair and Dick Murdoch turned Ted DiBiase into a highly popular MidSouth and later UWF Babyface.🤔😉🎤🐴💎👔👞👞🤼♂️B.W.

@@madbrowniac7871 the attack on DiBiase actually was on the weekly TV taping in Shreveport at the Irish McNeil BoysClub. Also, prior to him going to the WWF, Crockett did make DiBiase an offer and part that offer included a run with the NWA belt.

@Sargebri: I appreciate You bringing me up to speed. They were doing Tapings in Shreveport at the time. And until WBRC Channel 6 out of Birmingham started broadcasting The UWF on late Saturday nights a year or so later I could only pick up on MidSouth doings through Aptermags. As I do recall, Flair and Murdoch gave DiBiase a Brainbuster on the concrete. The same DiBiase who received a Triple Spike Piledriver on the concrete on TV in Atlanta in 1980.🤔😔🎤🐴💎👔👞👞📺🤼♂️B.W.

What a brilliant trap set by Garvin on Dibiase by using Mike Jackson as the bait. I have fond memories of those legendary strap matches! Looked like Dibiase got a brief taste of it! Ken Palmer

Wrestling was so much better when they tried to make the matches look 'real', instead of looking 'cool'.
