An update. I later changed back to soft mounts as the hard ones caused too much vibration. My advice is go soft.

Did you use the OEM rear mounts in place of the fronts, or aftermarket the first time?

I'm trying to find the part number for the rear rubber mounts you used for the front.

Here I'll answer my own question. This is the part number for the rear mounts to use in the front OEM Suzuki part # 11652-10G30

Just job 33% done, you need to change all 6 mounts, they are all worn out from 40.000-50.000 kilometers. Typical people dont change the lower rear ones because theese are most difficult.

Thanks Biker Dan. This video has inspired me to change my own motor mounts in my 2007 M109R. I changed out two for now, the front one and the one under the seat. The bottom one will be a spring event. Thanks for the details in this video.

Hi Dan, Since doing the mounts has there been any dramas ? did you notice a change in vibration after? are you happy you did the change out ?

The harder mounts gave much more vibration so I changed them again for soft ones which are better. My advice is use the soft ones.

Thanks Dan for your videos. I have the 2014 and I was wondering if I need to change them, I bought it with 7000 miles (~11000 km) and I just added a 1000. Is there a recommendation for the intervals? Also regarding the spark plugs in your other video, why Suzuki wants us to change the plugs every 7500 miles (~12000km)? I have never experienced such a short interval.

I think you can tell when the mounts need changing, when you accelerate and decelerate of and on you can feel the engine move excessively. I think with your low milage yours will be fine. As for spark plugs, using a standard you should get 20000k easily. If you use iridium they can last up to 100000k although I would only let it get to 75000k max.

What were your symptoms? My clutch lever slack tightens up when I give it gas to where my clutch lever gets tight. Would that be the engine mount?

Thats happening with mine too. I heard it was normal but wondered if a worn engine mount could dramatize the effect. Any updates?

1:29 Do you know of any engineering reason that Suzuki made the front mounts softer than the rear.
