Brand new subscriber here. Today im smoking my 3rd brisket and concluded I have terrible fires! A little Google query directed me to you. While this brisket might not be the best one yet, im on my way after your videos! We moved to Cadiz KY (land between the lakes) over a year ago. Moved from near Lake Tahoe CA (lifelong Californian), away from from family and friends. But you stated the bottom line truth - our hearts were no longer there. Best of luck to you in your adjustment. Its a relocation, bit a whole new culture. Enjoy!

WOW!!! I'm speechless. I'm so damn excited, and super happy for you Josh. I knew by the name on this video what I was about to watch, and I got a little giddy, but then I got a little sad when you started talking about the memories and everything. Take your time getting settled in. Nashville to me is the biggest little country town on earth, but it's still a big city. The only thing I'm kinda upset about is the Old Country Brazos. Man, I'm gonna miss that thing. But hey, seeing the Freedom 120 from now on will make up for losing the Brazos. Again, very happy for you. Can't wait for the Nashville content. I'm thinking "Nashville hot chicken revisited" for the first video. Please keep'em coming.

Thanks man! I'm slowly getting accustomed to everything and so far I can tell you I have no regrets. I'm gonna miss the Brazos also, but like I said, I didn't just want to keep it "just because." I'm looking forward to this new chapter and I appreciate the kind words. Now that I'm around hot chicken constantly, I may do that...Keep an eye out!

Thank you! I'm enjoying it so far! It is very expensive, but really nothing compared to what I'm used to in CT. Paying almost $12,000 a year in taxes just to exist was not my first choice. I'm definitely down to meet sometime!

Best of luck from one of your fans waiting for you to get to Tennessee..

Wait, so do you love Florida or not? I mean I've never wanted to move to Florida, but I will definitely do the video...I'm loving it here so far, especially seeing 55 degree rainy weather in CT and it being 80 and sunny here in TN!

@@FattysFeasts Love Florida!!!! The weather is humid in the mornings. Sweating all day. I still would like to live in CT. It is something special about all four seasons. The insects take a break. In Florida. Their are so many species of insects. Those geckos are real. I never thought I would see so many on a daily basis. That Geico commercial was targeting this audience. I’ve camped everywhere in the U.S. and came to Florida. “Holy, insects Batman.” LOL

Ohhh I got you now. Yeah two totally different worlds for sure! TN definitely gets more of the seasonal differences than FL, so I'm not sure I'll necessarily "miss" the clearly defined 4 seasons, as winter was always the longest and I was miserable LOL. But we will see...I have noticed, like you said, the insects are worse here!@@lamarwilliams185

Who cares where you are when you produce good content, except maybe the CT folks? You could be in Timbuctoo for all I care! I'm just starting on my "smokin" experience, at the age of 77, so I seem to be following all the BBQ content creators to soak up as much advice I can in the relative short time I have left. Keep up the good work no matter where you hang your hat.
