Great tips Dylan, have you had any problems with 3rd party plugins not working with 10.6.6? I’m holding off updating as I’ve heard this has been an issue.
@TheFinalCutBro

Yes I’d hold off as long as you can! Many third party plugins are getting updates. But so many are broken. Also there are many audio effects inside of FCP that were removed by Apple. It broke so many of my audio effects presets

Great advice and tips! Thanks a lot. Constructive criticism: Your A Roll seemed to be really dark in this video, esp. the left side of your face. Have you changed your lighting setup recently?
@TheFinalCutBro
Жыл бұрын
This one may be a bit darker! There's a reason I don't do color grading tutorials in FCP. It's likely my weakest area of knowledge. And most the time I don't see an issue with colors. I had just shot a commercial on my main camera, and I think my f-stop is barely different than what I normally shoot at. So that likely darkened it a bit. And in FCP I just created an effects preset with all my correction and grading applied. I almost never tweak it so I can just get to editing as quickly as possible. So there's a chance it's darker! Appreciate you watching and sharing feedback 👊

Position Playhead !!! thank you Dylan you just keep on killing it. Gracias :) BTW Dylan here is my small contribution that has allow me to save tons of time. This might be a good idea for an upcoming video. 1-Any old unused iPad or even an old phone + TouchPortal + FCPX and you got yourself an extremely cheap key board shortcut digital dashboard. I used it when ever I need to Lift things up from the timeline, Create new Parent clips, and increase the speed 2x,4x,8x. I know there are keyboard shortcuts but its always that much quicker to have it in front of my keyboard and see a custom colored button that I can just click on and be done with. If you ever need further questions please reach out and I can show you how I am using it on my day to day edits.

Hello, You are a very prepared person who knows how to do his job, congratulations! I wanted to know how do I narrow the font window when I choose one. After entering a default title, clicking to choose a different one, opens the window with the various fonts very wide that covers the viewer not letting me preview the font. Now, I tried in every way to narrow the font window without success. Generally when you choose the font, the window that appears with the various characters is very narrow to let you see the whole viewer? Thank you

Hey Dylan, How does one change multiple text at the same time? If you can help that would be awesome but either way I really learn from your videos, Thank you
@TheFinalCutBro
Жыл бұрын
You can change the font / scale / drop shadow on multiple items at once by selecting them all, then changing them inside of the Text inspector (make sure it's not the title inspector). You can also change the position of multiple titles at the same time by selecting them all, then using the transform tool on whichever one is visible from your playhead. Hope that helps!

Hey Dylan hope all is well, have you come across a method to replace a clip via a short cut that keeps the attributes of the previous clip, for example if i have a picture icon and i want to replace it with another icon but have it the same size as the one im replacing, i see the shift r but then i need to have copied the attributes before and then paste them, in Davinci resolve i was able to just hit one key and it replaced the image and kept the structure from the one it was replacing - Thanks for any help you might be able to provide
@TheFinalCutBro
Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately this isn’t possible, outside of just copying the clip before replacing, then pasting attributes. My friend Rafael Ludwig made a video talking about how he would love having that as a feature. And I totally agree! It’s definitely worth submitting that as feedback to Apple.
