Here's the thing about the world, famous people tend to do great things, achieve exciting achievements and then we completely forget about the family they have. My dad has a masters in Computing, he has an awesome career. He was deployed overseas and on video calls, the smile on his face is biggest when he gets to come home...

I'm out of the loop on so much lately, just too much going on family wise. Not a FB Dan either. I completely agree with this though. Hopefully the tide is turning. Still love ya!

Hey mama so good to see your name! Hope you're dealing with everything as best as can be. Well catch you up when you're done 😘😘 I definitely think the tide is turning. The main thing that you've missed is that there's a "woke right" emerging. (I hate that phrase tho, tryna come up with a better one) But since the tide IS turning, we don't need the same fever to get our message across and we need to be aware that people ARE becoming more open to our way of thinking. So the woke right are the people are just looking for wokeness wherever they can just like wokies look for racism etc everywhere. It never ends lol! We all love and miss you in the chat and we are sending our best! Family over everything! 🤘❤️🔥

So I wonder what he would say if his daughter decided to live her life by having a fulfilling career? Would he then look down at her and dictate what she will do for the rest of her life?

It's a good question but I think the most reasonable speculation

@@TheIndianJesusOfficial that is a side to it of course, and I don't think he is a bad person for thinking it, the problem is when he takes that viewpoint and mixes it with his celebrity, he ends up in front of a bunch of College kids dreaming about their futures that they have worked so hard for, then proceeds to tell all the women there that they should essentially marry one of the guys next them, go home and do what you are told. It's just a case of not being aware of who he was talking to.

@@AnselmGidion but I don't understand how it's any different than telling them to go work hard and be financially successful? You could say the same thing about women who went to college because they wanted an education and want to be able to be a SAHM until her kids are school age, and then need the degree to work part time at some little job at that point. EVERY commencement speech is about go forth and be successful, wrapped in a different way based on the speaker. He never said that women SHOULDN'T work or be financially successful, he's just representing the women who define success differently than the corporate way. I think the point is that we should be able to hear a message from a man who cherishes the women in his life for fulfilling the roles that they do, without assuming that automatically means he's demonizing a different lifestyle. Otherwise SAHMs would be protesting every May at every school across the country The only reason the Butker speech stood out is because it's different. I believe that people should be able to be represented and I think the corporate women are very very highly represented and celebrated in the college setting. But I don't see as much representation or celebration of women who choose a different form of success thru their family. Would you disagree?

@@TheIndianJesusOfficial I'm not saying that he is wrong to want it for his family. But I do have a problem with Christian Nationalism which is where the whole thing goes south with me, Have you read Project 2025? That's where his viewpoint will get stretched and bastardized into not giving women the choice over their bodies, their careers, and poof! They will have put women back in their places in their homes. Women had started to get their footing after WW2, expanding their rights and moving into fields and jobs the they wanted, now we want to tell them to get back in the kitchen and forget all of that stuff. I have a daughter, and she was free to make here own choices in life, and that's all I want for everyone's daughters, including Butker's (I don't know if he even has a daughter by the way, so I'm just speaking in general). I'm enjoying this polite discord, keep going good sir.

He would be fine with that too. Nowhere did he say that Catholic women HAVE to get married and have children.
