I changed to the same ratio in my manual Turbodiesel. helps a lot for highway cruising speeds keeping the revs lower.

Same proceedure for a w202 2004 gasoline station wagon? If so, love your video, Im in another country and have to do this in my driveway two weeks before knee surgery. How long did it take you? Ive been all up underneath the car soaking the bolts and looks pretty straight forward. Found a remanufactured one for 250 euros.

Hi wassup brother ,, after changing the differential didn't you get a problem in the speedometer ?? because i think it read the speed based on the turning of the differential

The wheel that gives input to the speed sensor is the same among all differentials, so no problems

How is it driving? Is the ratio good or to low? I wonder if I should go with a 3.07 ratio with my 250 turbodiesel.

It's pretty long, fun on the highway, I think I could have reached 250+ kph with it. I'm going to a shorter welded diff now for the winter. check out the new videos ;)

@@dorsch250 ok I’ll try the 3.07 ratio just to safe fuel and get the noise down in the cabin. I found a differential of a w124 300ce with 3.07 ratio. I do have to change the input shaft impeller or drill the holes to 12mm.
