According to the Namcheon Stone Bridge Monument, this bridge was built by stonemason Baek Jin-gi, and later in 1892 (the 29th year of King Gojong's reign), the county governor Shin Gwan-jo commissioned stonemason Kim Nae-gyeong to renovate it. did. A large stone was placed on the natural bedrock on both sides of the stream and a single stone was placed to create a half-moon pattern. The material used to make Hongye is granite, and the bridge walls on both sides before and after are made of natural rubble. 4. Gaebiri-gil
It is a cliff road along the Nakdong River that connects Yongsan-ri to Sinjeon-ri, Namji-eup, Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. The total length is 2.7km, and it is a part of the road connecting Changnyeong-gun and Uiryeong-gun. ‘Biri’ means cliff, and the name of this place, ‘Gaebiri’, comes from two etymologies: ‘a cliff walked by dogs’ or ‘a road on the cliff of Ganga (dogs).’ Namji Gaebiri, Changnyeong is recorded on several old maps of the Joseon Dynasty, including Daedongyeojido, so the existence and route of the road can be confirmed. Hackberry trees, pine trees, oak trees, and bamboo trees are densely grown along the road along the Nakdong River.
A significant portion of the southern end of Namji Gaebiri in Changnyeong was destroyed during the Japanese colonial period, and some of the original appearance of the old road was damaged during the recent redevelopment as a trail, but the view of the Nakdong River while walking along the cliff road is beautiful and its historical value as an old road during the Joseon Dynasty is recognized. It was designated as a scenic spot on December 8, 2021.
