The spring saga continues… 😂 Great ride Cliff. The drone footage is great! I’ve been bingeing Kevin’s videos. Such a positive and grateful guy and wonderful to listen to.

Thanks Chris. Kevin is a great guy. Hey! I may have a positive lead on the shock spring situation! If it works out it will be GREAT! Stay tuned.

I would be happy to help you. Heat the nut to about 400 degrees with a propane torch. That will eliminate the thread locker. We use a little clamp to hold the shaft but it isn’t necessary. Don’t do what I have seen and use vise grip pliers! Those type of spring compressors can be quite dangerous on a shock like that.

Thanks man I really appreciate it! I found a shop near me to help me out and that’s exactly what they did! They used a torch to heat the nut, and they had a spring compressor, a special vise and pliers… and most importantly, the skills to get the job done. Video of it coming out soon! I learned a lot in this process!!!

I'm not sure if this is the Dad or the son - I want to use some video with the son in it from the day at Pike - brief clip - wanted permission - you can see it first if you want to

When I did my spring I cut the hook off a motorcycle strap. Used 2 18" pieces of strap and two ratchets. Run the strap up and down inside the spring bring the ends out and slide those ends together into the ratchet one on each side of the spring as you would a pair of compressors. Crank the ratchets down evenly. Worked okay if not a bit awkward, good luck

@@geraldburmeister9637 I saw a video about that technique. I’m thinking of giving it a try! Thanks for the suggestion.
