What I love about the Nescafe ads, they just let BINI be themselves and we can say that's the authentic BINI. And a lot of blooms enjoyed the advertisement 😆 Nescafe understood the assignment 👌🏻 eyyy ka muna eyyy🤙🏻

Translations/context for words they were using in the Nescafe Ad: Some of the girls were using their native language/dialect so the others had to ask what each word meant. Colet: Lami (Bisaya), Masarap (Tagalog) = Delicious Stacey: Nag sam it (Ilokano) = Sweet Maloi: Pagkakalameeg (Batangueño - Tagalog dialect in Batangas) = Cold Gwen: Oragon (Bicol language) = Strong The consequence was to dance Pandanggo sa Iced Coffee from the Filipino Folk Dance - Pandanggo sa Ilaw, wherein you do those graceful twirling motions (which Colet demonstrated) but with candles. Aiah did it dancing while doing the Salamin, Salamin choreo XD

That Nescafe ad was really fun! It’s like they did not have a script and just let the girls be themselves. And yes, the ad is very effective too! (It made me buy Nescafe right after 😂) BINI is actually a very good product endorser. Anything they endorse usually sells out. They just announced a new product endorsement for feminine sanitary napkins wherein you get a free photocard when you buy. Even guys are hoarding the feminine napkins because of the photocards 😂😂

Thanks for this reaction Pierre... Maloi's "pagkakalameeeg" is a Batangueño accent, a distinctive way of speaking Tagalog common among people from the Batangas province in the Philippines 😊🥰 Base from ChatGPT analogy-Batangueño accent: Can be likened to the Bavarian accent (Bayerisch) in Germany. Both are strong, distinct, and have unique expressions that may be hard for people from other regions to understand immediately. The Bavarian accent is known for its deep, throaty sounds and strong emphasis on syllables, just as the Batangueño accent is firm and pronounced.

Allowing the girls to use their native tongue in the ad is brilliant on Nestle's part. It allows them to reach a very wide audience, and the girls wouldn't be stressing out having to memorize new lines or steps. And I just realized, BINI is as diverse as the group Alamat, whose members also speak different languages. I hope they release a version of the translating game Aiah and Maloi played too, but involve other members, like Gwen or Stacey, for more variety.
@andrewaldana3340

Btw Pierre, since I saw that you're learning Tagalog, the word Maloi used (pagkakalamig), is also a Tagalog term, but is mostly viewed as dialectal Tagalog from Southern Luzon. The root word is "lamig," (cold) and the prefix "pagkaka-" is used on certain adjectives to increase its intensity (although I hear this usually in Southern Luzon only). Other speakers of Tagalog might use a variety of other terms to describe "extremely cold," and here are some common ones: sobrang lamig, napakalamig, and malamig na malamig. And yes, it's spelled as malamig and not as malameeg

For those who didn't knew, "Pandanggo sa Ilaw" is a traditional Filipino dance which Aiah did here as a consequence. In the original dance they are holding a candle light in a glass, where here Aiah is holding a glass of iced coffee as a reference to that dance. Nc reaction video again from you Pierre keep it coming.

15:13 😂 they are playing a famous childhood game here in the Philippines called "PANTS" where they have to think of a Place, Animals, Names, Things, (S is for score) that starts with the given letter. That's why aiah also shouted "PANTS NA AKO" (I'M ALREADY PANTS) bcs you need to say that u have already finished filling up the P.A.N.T. column HAHAHA In this scenario the Letter Z is given and here is the list of things they said jokingly (hilarious af!!!) • Zaguar - ofc it's jaguar lolol • Zupot - it's supposed to be "supot" in tagalog and it means "wrapper/plastic" in english • Zilopin (istg this is the funniest) - it should be cellophane (also called aluminum foil) but it gets funnier bcs in Philippines we have this filipino accent kind of pronunciation (at times) it's like a hard english tone so some of us call cellophane as "silopin" which led to maloi suggesting Zilopin LMAOOO 😂

Cebuano= Lami Tagalog= Masarap English= Delicious I just want to clarify as well that Bisaya is neither a language nor a dialect (which a lot of people got mistaken by) but rather refers to PEOPLE or individuals in the Visayas region and those who migrated from Visayas to Mindanao. Bisayans have several languages like Cebuano, Hiligaynon (a language commonly spoken by Ilonggos, specifically in Iloilo), et al. However, Cebuano is the majority spoken language in the entire Visayas region and certain parts of Mindanao. What Colet said in the video is one of the Cebuano dialects which is Bol-ano/Cebu-lano. Bisaya = people or individuals while the language may vary from ancestors heritage.

That's not Tagalog pierre, it's in bisaya (aiah & colet), ilokano (stacey), and tagalog-batangas (maloi) with different accent from the way we speak tagalog in Manila (capital) and in other tagalog-speaking places here. Not all Filipinos can speak their language (bisaya, ilokano) unless they grew up or at least live in that province. We do have 180+ languages in the Philippines, but majority speak tagalog & english as our official language. And one more thing, most of us filipinos it's either bilingual or trilingual.
