Thank you for making education so fun and entertaining. Though it might not be your intention to "entertains", it is so much more enjoyable to learn from someone who sounds like they really love what they are teaching and having fun doing it! I retained all the informations like a sponge without having to go back much which is awesome!! Priceless!!

It's called a buffy coat because it's usually "buff" in hue en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buff_(colour)

Your sickle-cell rundown is slightly off. Sickle cell anemia *does* cause premature death. It's just that heterozygous individuals get protection without disease, so there's stabilizing selection with an unfortunate population-level tradeoff for homozygotes with either no protection from malaria *or* SCD.
