Very nice to see Scott, pass on my regards! I was expecting a demonstration of lighting birthday candles with flint & steel for Russel's big day! 🤨

Hi Rob and Scott, nice bunch of feather sticks mate, and I have to agree whith you on the piece of file for a striker, although some files are better than others. But you got flames , and a bit of smoke to try and keep the bugs away, lol, first bit of sunshine and they all come out looking for a free meal, and we're on the menu. Thanks for the video, stay safe, best wishe's to you all, Stuart Uk.

I'm not new to bushcraft but still love your videos and pick up loads of small tips and tricks by watching you work. Recently pulled the trigger on a Vic Locksmith so was watching reviews before getting it and that's how I found your channel, you convinced me to go from a Trailmaster to a Locksmith :D plus in a pinch I can use the file to touch up my khukuri or hooks out in the field :)

Great demonstration, Rob. A while ago I bought a fire steel on e--y. It was rubbish - not high carbon steel at all, so I chopped up a file with my angle grinder and it's perfect. I still can't make good feathersticks, though!

My friend.... What knife are you using..... This is key, I wasn't the most successful feathersticker until fairly recent. A good knife is easier to learn with.... Now I can do a fairly decent job with most blades but it took a good knife for me to flurish
