Wow! This is the first time I've ever known of a rigger who actually checks his weights....quite literally every rigger I have worked with so far just weights it and sends it to me without ever checking any of the weights.

Hi, thanks for the great tutorial. I have a question. Do you not need to do weight painting here? I thought weight painting needs to be done after putting joints.

Yes there’s some weight painting required. I wanted to do a concluding video on it but I ran out of time

@@Dikko so did u not do weight painting in for this rig? Or u still did it but just skipped it in the video? Because I wanted to know if the rig works perfectly with the joints if you only do bind skin without weight painting. It looks pretty working perfect in your last video. So I wanted to know if I you did it but skipped in the video or just did not do any weight painting. Thanks for he reply!

@@thffkfltm I think I did some minor weight painting around the neck, but that was largely it.

what do i do with the root joint? is still attached to the mesh

The root joint is there as a parent to the entire bone hierarchy. You dont use it to skin to the mesh though. You will eventually use it when building the control set up
