@@JimastaJ what is the problem then? I’m white have no idea, I’m genuinely just curious. I was born poor and lived in a trailer park, my single mother worked her ass off for 14 years to get herself educated, a good job, and us a house. She never let up once we were comfortable and owns two houses now. She did that all on her own. I moved out and live in a trailer park now. I bet our backgrounds are closer to each others than you think. But there’s a cultural difference. So what do you think about your culture holds you down more than me, a poor white?
@JimastaJ
Жыл бұрын
@@tanman561212 It’s not about the money. I come from an upper class black American family. My parents are from the hood, but they joined the army and then raised me in one of America’s nicest neighborhoods. I’ve honestly have had very few problems interacting with “my people.” My main problem was always being the only black kid in predominantly white environments. I didn’t experience much overt racism but I was silently shunned and outcasted by many people. This affects my social behavior to this day. I’m still very introverted, closed off, and filled with trust issues. Black people have done the right thing at many times in US history. We created black Wall Street and it was bombed by the US MILITARY. Many other black cities were also burned to the ground. After being destroyed for doing the right thing and building up our communities, many black folks became defeated and self-destructive. But this is because white society broke the spirt of black people during the reconstruction era.
@renebleu8711
Жыл бұрын
@@tanman561212 there’s still cultural differences for sure.. Blacks have been exploited in media as savages, I think many are perpetuating this. At one time, we were actually decent people. There are definitely more sinister things going on that played to our destruction- Civil Rights, BLM, Feminism, Planned Parenthood and so on. Side note, from what I’ve been raised to learn - Whites were used as a scapegoat and still are which saddens me. I think White or Black we are being destroyed in America and our native lands. I definitely disagree that rap money doesn’t play a part because it for sure does.

Charleston White is a very very very unique individual. His interviews only allow for 3 things: Listening. Thinking. Laughing. That’s all his responses will let you do. One or the other or all three. He 100% knows how to command attention of our consciousness and I’ll even admit it, with all the highest respects to Dr. Umar and Louis Farrakhan, none of them do that. Charleston White speaks differently to his audiences with tangible everyday realness. An uncle/OG I think a lot of us needed in our upbringing.
