The streets almost took my life. The penitentiary saved it. It's always better to learn the easier way, but I didn't do that. Neither did these guys. Went in at 18 got out at 21. I'm 42 years old and I don't believe I'd have come this far without a tough lesson. To say that I appreciate my freedom is an understatement. Hopefully these young guys can do their time and learn a valuable lesson in the process as I once did. I've been a barber the last 20 plus years, and every chance I get to change the mind frame of one of my lost young clients I take the time to do so. I feel obligated to keep these young men from learning the hard way, and I'm blessed that most of them listen to me...hopefully the young homies throughout the world learn from these guys mistakes

I do understand where Mr. White is coming from. Once you've gotten tired of seeing black people destroy each other and then complain about the outcome...it can get frustrating. We contribute to the ignorance. Many black people do the job of white supremacists for them and all they have to do is sit back and watch the show. I remember that piece from "Tales In The Hood" When Krazy K was locked up next to the skinhead. The skinhead asked him "What was the color of the people you killed"? Then continued to say "they were black? You're all good with me ni**er" Even after lessons like that we still continue down that path. I understand poverty can put people in dire situations, but we're smarter than we give ourselves credit for.💯
@Wild100sRaisedMe
2 жыл бұрын
I literally just watched that 2 days ago… and you are in fact correct sir…🫡. That part about Crazy K was about “Sensory Deprivation” is the deliberate reduction or removal of stimuli from one or more of the senses. Need to be done to some of these people out here so they can see the turmoil they have caused.

I didn’t know Black people destroyed each other and then complained about the outcome. What does that have to do with this case? We don’t know if they’re innocent or guilty.
@thaimperial97
2 жыл бұрын
@@Wild100sRaisedMe you're soo right. If they had a program like they had in that movie...I wonder how many black people would actually wake up. White America knows if our youth became awake and started to actually register the damage we do to one another...and started to aim their frustrations at this broken system... they'd have a big problem on their hands. So they help keep our neighborhoods poor and let the drugs and guns spread freely so we destroy ourselves

I am not going to celebrate Young Thug catching a RICO charge. I do understand where Charles White is coming from. Rappers are glorifying the worse acts in our community. They have even resorted to taunting their dead opps creating more unsolved homicides. There is absolutely no balance in hip hop anymore. All the widely played music has negative connotations for our community. Our music is hurting our own community.

The way he speaks pisses a lot of people off but underneath it all is facts. The immaturity and recording artist in me says we should be able to rap about whatever we want because it's art but the mature part of me realizes that our lyrics do have a negative effect on our community and the threat of jail is the only thing that will make us be more aware of the lyrics and message we're putting out. Hopefully the industry can change one day

That thug life rap persona is more drama than it’s worth. First off, you’re attracting the type of people who want to see if you’re really about that life. The fans who attend your concerts and the people who know you you’re are all questionable at best. Then you gotta live that life to be able to back up the persona you’ve built. So you inevitably have to get into fights and act tough in situations where you shouldn’t be because you’re a millionaire. The chain snatching, gunfights,robberies, club brawls, gun cases all happen because you’re attracting the wrong attention. If you wanna get the bag off being a tough guy, then be ready for mixed results. Being the richest man in prison means nothing.
