The story Heath told on KZitem was the REAL story of Charlie Brown. I’ve known Heath for a long time he painted my Nova and his Dad was an awesome mentor to me schooling me on how to drive the finish line in bracket racing. We all know the game GO FASTER!!!! I feel your guys plan is perfect to accomplish the goal of reducing the weight and reengineering the chassis but still retaining Charlie’s original look is important as that is the legacy behind this street racing legend. Jason I know you have already put this in God’s hands to guide you and the team to make Charlie the best he can be and I can’t wait to see what he’s got in store for you all this coming season. SEND IT!!! Good luck and God Bless❤

If it fits the rules for the racing you want to compete in then start cutting! Keep up the content it’s awesome to watch you guys grow and continue to inspire people to be better in all expects of life. Good job guys you should be proud of yourselves.

The fact that it was created as a family car by GM, it is 4-door and still looks like what it did out of the showroom and most of all, it is competitive. For me this separates You and your selection of this kind of car to build, and the fact you know that a different car with all else the same would be faster, shows character. There are thousands of those cars out there, and you decided on something unique and did the extra work to make it competitive is what does it for me. That is the car side. The way You carry yourself, not being ashamed to give God the credit where it belongs, and the Podcasts of You trying to show people where Christ fits into everyday life are special. When You put these two characteristics together It creates what You have, a very rewarding and full life. Making the car better is fine, just leave what we see when we look at it, original. God Bless.

I had a buddy that used to race World of Outlaws. He said they were spending close to $3500 per pound trying to lose weight. Titanium brake rotors and brackets, machined and lightened everything, minimum size and thickness moly tubing everywhere in the chassis, etc... My favorite line of his was "I think Jenny Craig is definitely cheaper!"

It’s grandpas axe. It stays the same car as long as you keep more than 50% of it with every update. So you could cut the body off the chassis and put it on a new chassis and I would still consider it Charlie Brown. You could also replace all the panels and put them on the original car and if would still be Charlie. Do what you have to do and kick ass. Charlie Brown to the front.

The chassis makes a car a car. Its easy to get lost in the drag racing world but if I was buying a used car and I wanted that car from that year, i would only focus on a clean chassis. The doors, hood, quarter pannels can be replaced. Its the chassis for sure.

You can apparently swap out the chassis in the body. swap on aftermarket roof skin, 1/4 panels add composite front end, boot lid and doors as long as there is something from the original and you don't do it all at once you can claim its the same cars. Ask Shawn Eliington

I really love this car and this style of build content, great job. We never got these in Australia so I’m not overly familiar with them were they are unibody or ladder frame from the factory? Would you say this is going to be a 3/4 chassis car after this?

From the factory it's a full frame car with a coil spring 4 link rear suspension car. From what it sounds like possibly the stock frame rails from the back of the front clip to the rear backhalf are coming out.

Jason imo you have to use as much of the car that is available, you know what I mean, the body, the chassis, the soul...engine doesn't matter in this case, and in other situations it does...some cases power adder doesn't matter, and in this one it does...use as much of Charlie as possible.

You know if you and the guys are even considering having to do the front and firewall at some other time I think you, as the CHIEF IN COMMAND should gather your warriors and say "Listen up Tin Soldiers lets bite the bullet and do it all right now" because in the long run it only means more racing and less idle time. Besides, you have the manpower and all the knowledge within your group. A few extra long days and nights put in by them will get you further than having to tear it all apart and do it later anyway. Good Luck...........this is going to be Awesome!
