I love how CATS' logo looks like it's from the 00s, even the new plans' CGI is so outdated

It surprises me that Charlotte is taking so long to build a line to the airport. They already have triple train tracks going by the terminals.

A regional rail line to the airport would be so nice. There’s already track there.

@@GenericUrbanism it would be more effective US cities need to embrace regional rail pop up metro could be a replacement for LRT and regional rail

I don't drive. This is not Charlotte problem. This is a problem in every US metro except Nzy, SF, n DC. Building rails is supposed to be blessing. Its blessing for other countries but not for USA. In USA, Building rails is to accommodate people who drive in n out of stations. Many transit advocates think it's ok. How do I know? I have argued with many train lovers on internet discussion boards, Facebook users n KZitem commentators. One recent comment was its our faults choosing transit unfriendly city. Liberal metro LA has below F public transportation, don't know where else to go. That person was a typical rail is everything. Lack of frequency is one thing. People love of car is one reason. Then, some one came out theory that people prefer rails, so Building rail is right. Correction, people prefer to drive in n out stations. CA is considering congestion tax. Even i oppose that idea. Conservatives already jump out n call that communism. Its catch 22, improve public transportation n frequency. No do not improve public transportation just for rail fans, aka car drivers pretending to be transit advocates. Improve public transportation for people who don't drive or choose not to drive. Parking in downtown LA n many parts of LA are expensive. In downtown finance district LA, public transportation is good with lots rails n parking is expensive n difficult. Many people still prefer to drive. People just love to drive. In other part's of LA, such as west LA, parking is expensive n driving isnot easy, but public transportation is bad. Ok its bad compared with public transportation in Taipei, HK, SF, NY, ,Paris, its below 0, but its grade is A in LA standard. Anyway, to solve this , rail agencies come out this brilliant idea, free parking lots in real estate expensive neighborhood. Some people come out congestion tax. Lets follow the capitalism. Put the parking meters. That's legit congestion tax in real estate expensive neighborhood. No that will anger rail advocates. People call that removal of parking lots mandate around transit is communism or even worst environment terrorists. Note, it is removal of parking lot mandate not parking lots, rail supporters already cry communism. How can we increase ridership. Without ridership, there are less frequency. Americans love to drive. I m fine with that. That's people choice. What i hate is rail supporters who claim to be transit advocates keep saying rails without good local bus is perfect fine because they drive. Make up your mind, drive or use public transportation. Btw, LA public transportation grade is below F. I hate to admit LA public transportation is better than Charlotte. Your grade on Charlotte transit is too high.

Busses are unreliable because they have to fight for space with all the cars and trucks. They'll work with exclusive busways, otherwise you could wait for a bus for two hours when it's supposed to come once every fifteen minutes which is a good frequency for North America.

I heard the Republican legislature decided to prevent Charlotte from building any more rail lines! Which means no new extensions. ☹️
