We used to see him in Tesco’s every now and again ( he didn’t live far away ) and my wife served him a couple of times when she worked at a Garden centre ... a Gent as everyone says ( and really tall 😂...well to me anyhow )... and always lovely to people who spoke to him..R.I.P Chas 😥

fantastic ,meek gave him a schooling he needed the outlaws were brilliant . my brother in law was in small group called the Sabers they supported many of the groups and made a demo which is out there on a cd ,The drummer punched Joe Meek and called him a poof and that ended their chances .He still has his red fender strat in case immaculate never played since the 60s

Wasn’t the Outlaws also The Tornadoes ?... I heard that Joe Meek would often swap his bands around and rename them just for certain records etc.
