I finally got my Grendel shooting 1/2 MOA after upping the barrel torque to 60 instead of only 45, barrel harmonics tuning is a bit of a dark art... Did you buy or DIY the upper? I dove into long range shooting (like out at 1K or even 1300 yards) over 7 years ago and the main thing you want in order to achieve "accuracy" is _repeatable consistency,_ especially with small things like how the rifle recoils even _before_ the bullet exits the bore. Rule number 1: _"ANYTHING_ you attach to a rifle can and _will_ alter barrel harmonics (how it vibrates)" Harmonics are what you're chasing when you start hand loading and looking for a "node". The goal there is getting "perfect" exit timing as the barrel vibrates by adjusting the powder charge. This harmonic effect changes with everything added to the rifle, including everything from muzzle brakes to bipods or lights, even something like a light or bipod with a loose mounting screw... Or that gigantic shooting rest, that on the surface _seems_ stable. Do yourself a _massive_ favor and try ditching that Caldwell monstrosity and allow the rifle to "freely recoil" into your shoulder instead. You could leave the clamp/shoe wide open and lay a more "slippery" shop towel over that clingy rubber in the saddle and MORE importantly use a good solid _rear bag_ too! That way the rifle butt doesn't sag during recoil and give you a vertical spread... I use a simple "pint glass" sized tube shaped rear bag full of airsoft BB's or even better a super featherweight mineral called Vermiculite that's sand-like and cheap, used in potting soil.

I shot a 0.132 with my 6.5 PRC and all three rounds were within the same hole, zero spacing. Not sure how this is 0.17 with gaps and a 264 diameter bullet.

Had to do an update on that measurement. I wish I could edit in a clip to the video but can’t. I don’t recall the size now but shooting Grendel this week again with some new ammo.

I was trying to wrap my head around that too and scratching my head _REAL_ hard?!🤔I mean, a group that's "0.17" is going to be stacked "center to center" on a spot even _smaller_ than a typical .177 caliber _BB GUN!_ What's on paper is maybe more like a 0.37 sized group.

I wasn't going to comment about your rifle, but you just happen to have a floating barrel. As long as it stays hot, it'll be tight. I deal with this in mine and have corrected this.

My suggestion, move on past your mistake with a double charge. No reason to even mention it. Your mistake had nothing to do with the resizing or the amount, other than it appears you may have double charged. Fortunately nobody was hurt. I did get a chuckle with your firearms safety sticker. If it was me I would remove those videos from YT and move on with life, you fixed the guy's firearm. The Grendel would be much more difficult to fit a double charge as you're most likely shooting supersonic. EDIT: I think I'm gonna skip 6.5 Grendel, 300 blackout now uses 1:5 twist and can be shot in the AR-15 mag. Seems more logical to me, but for pig both would be fine. 1:5 twist in a 7.5" barrel.👍 Gorilla came out with 8.6 brass that to me looks nicer than Hornady resized brass. I'm surprised I haven't seen you post about it. If you use Gorilla projectiles, there is no resizing, no trimming, no neck turning, the brass is ready to go (other than regular reloading trimming). Gorilla is also working on their own 208 grain fracturing projectile for supersonic. Having brass and projectiles from the same vendor is not a bad thing.
@EagleRun23

Hey thanks for the comment and the words. I have some brass from gorilla. And another company. More of that! I agree with a 300 blackout coming soon. We’re also going to do a rad budget ar. It will be fun! Rattle can!
