When removing the drive be careful not to damage the USB 3.0 to SATA/power connection as this can be used to quickly turn any HDD into a USB drive. I use this to run diagnostics on drives without mounting into a machine. I also use it to scrub and extract data from laptops and computers that won't boot up or have stopped working altogether.

just wanted to let you know, later on, open the plastic cover from the other side, the drive will come out smoothly, including the PCB too

Thanks for the tip. I had a look and I couldn't see that the other side would open, but I'll certainly look if I need to open another!

good tip! once you open the smaller side you can just break the tabs that hold the larger side on from inside.

To be honest - I had covid recently, and I struggle with voicing at the moment. Not feeling too bad, just short of breathe still. I prefer the Aussie accent :) I tend to ramble on when scripting on the fly

Hope you're back to full health soon. And by the way, thanks for the T5 videos you did on your old AXD, found them very useful and well explained!

@@Indiekid-1976 was a shame to let it go, but cost me enough. I have loads of videos that need editing so there might be more to come get
