Good review, but the trouble with a lot of reviews they just compare the model. Example is you compare the Ford Basic model Eco Sport Spec. This comment is not directed at Car Obsession, its a general comment on reviews i seen Model Zetec Body Style 5 Door Drive 1.0L Ford EcoBoost 100PS 6 Speed Combined Fuel Consumption (WLTP) 44.1 mpg (6.4 L/100 km)†† Combined CO2 Emissions (NEDC Equivalent) 120 g/km†† Colour Race Red (Standard Colour) Trim Fabric seat trim (Dwell Cloth Fabric) This comes in at just under £18000, Now compare that with an MG Exclusive. The engine is more economical and i know the Ecoboost is gutless and less MPG. The kit is parable but the MG exclusive is Well over £2300 cheaper and the Ecoboost has all scratchy plastic . When you start to base basic models at the same price as the top MG top model you get a far better picture of what you are getting.

We have the ZS Essense 2019 1 litre 3 pots 6 speed turbo - getting 6.7 litres per 100ks generally over 1500 k's so far - love the panoramic sunroof with front insect screen and fully retractable underlay sunscreen - powers up steep hills and turns on a dime - on the freeway no problems at all - can barely hear the engine - GPS works great but needs a bit of study to learn how to use it - lots of internal room - my bike fits into the rear with back seats down - sound system is very good - USB plays well (not using Apple) - Metallic paint job looks great - Starting up from cold requires 10 seconds to settle in then it takes off without touching the accelerator (as per the manual) - This is not a car you start and drag with but after a ferw seconds when the turbo kicks in off she goes. Good car for the money - 7 years warranty on everything - services are 12 months or 15,000 ks (reasonable).

What I love about Aaron's reviews is the honesty and simplicity of his opinions. He doesn't get bogged down with loads of tech talk that most of us wouldn't understand. I much prefer the "this feature is good/bad because of ...." approach, he's not trying to be the oracle of motoring, rather he is just trying to give us some advice. Shame about the ZS, it seems like it could be a decent car but the compromises may outweigh the low cost.

Truth is its fine for a cheap run around to get around town, but I wouldn't do too many motorway miles in one because of running costs(lack of diesel), rough ride at high speeds, and most importantly safety. If you take a hit at 50mph you should be OK, but at 70 you could be in trouble. In my job i drive alot of hire cars and i go out of my way to hire different cars every time when I can, this car is a around the same price as a Dacia Duster. The MG is a better car to look at but the Dacia is a better car to drive and is most importantly safer.

Hi Keith, thanks for watching. I do agree with you to a point; as a driver, you need to make sure you are alert and that you are concentrating, but we're all human, we make mistakes. Therefore, to have a back up system that is able to prevent a crash is surely a good thing? Therefore, I would protect your family with the condition that it's used as a last resort as opposed to becoming dependant on it. Like you said, the driver needs to be in control, but at the same time, there is no harm in having a back up.

@CarObsession

Hello Rahmann, thanks for watching. No, that wouldn't be viable as I'd end up with a video that's virtually 30 minutes long and that's too long if you ask me. If I'm honest, I even thought this video was a tad long, but there wasn't anything else I really wanted to cut out of it. Also, my walkaround videos are a more casual set up, whereas the proper reviews are more formal and more editing goes in to them. Therefore, I'm happy to keep the two videos separate as they are approached in two different ways. Fusing them together in one video wouldn't look right.

Forgot to add that the dipped lighting was so poor it was dangerous. There was a black shadow that started close to the car and on our narrow country roads we had a few near misses with parked cars, animals etc suddenly appearing. That's fair enough pal, but I film the majority of videos by myself (including this one) so you'd be surprised how time consuming it is (especially when I have to keep stopping because of background noise) to get all the footage required to keep viewers happy. In fact, I remember that day of filming quite vividly; I kept being interrupted (six time in total I believe) by people asking me for directions for another car park that was nearby. It was also swelteringly hot, making the day even more exhausting than it would be normally. However, I appreciate the feedback and I'll consider that moving forward 👍

However, I wouldn't say the car looks particularly dirty, at 0:40 it looks pretty spotless to me, same goes for 1:08. 2:26 you can see the side of the car glistening, and the alloys look clean as well, so I don't really understand where you are coming from.
