Make a note, that for a tiny fraction more, one can buy the (a lot) more powerful RX 580 8GB even new in box (from brand Soyo) and many 2nd hand mining cards flowing out for for less. This goes for DIY PCs. This RX 550 is a decent option if one has a very low power PSU (OEM / office PC), since it has a max 50W TDP. But its achillies heel in that regard, is the 2nd hand GTX 1050 Ti, which is easily possible to find cheaper on the used market now. Pretty hefty overclock made in the video. Might make it perform close to the stock RX 560. Not bad! For blowing som life into older office PCs with something like a 2nd to 4th gen Core i5, this GPU is just plug and play (also available as SFF @35W for those who has that standard and maybe only a 200W PSU). Aways take the recomended PSU spec from AMD/Nvidia with a grain of salt. These OEM/office PCs might only have a 250-300W PSU, which is plenty for these types of low power GPU (max 75W). The stock PC - especially 4th gen i5) draw max 100W, so up to 75W extra for the GPU is no problem. Also another thing to note by using these for office PC upgrade, is they can work well in the office PC case, which normally has very little airflow and space, (just designed to make the CPU cooled). You dont generally dont want to drop a 150W+ GPU inside these without making some airflow addition (though the HP X-model workstations are pretty decent "gaming PC ready" from factory - also regarding PSU) :)

Yes, legit, but you have to check the specs for anything you buy because they don't have to be the same as companies that sell products into the US and EU and Canadian market. The RX-580 for instance has less processing cores than the counterparts sold outside of China and in the US it has to be labeled differently. They stick the number of processors in the name to differentiate and it doesn't perform as well, but it's still a good product. I'd pay the extra money and get that over the RX 550. That's as low end as I want to get for a gaming GPU. This is the naming for the RX-580 to differentiate "Radeon RX 580 Graphic Cards, 2048SP". At around $120 I find that a really good buy if you can get a gen4 system and shell out the money for an RX 6500 XT which can be found for around $170 and is going to use less power.

I think this might be some desktop adaptation of mobile version of RX550(m). That would explain very low power consumption, low temps for such a small heatsink. Fun fact - Mobile version have the same clocks as desktop one but more shader units which is making it faster (the GPU-Z screen looks like desktop version but maybe it is BIOS mimicking desktop version to get proper drivers). If its true maybe that's why it is never hitting 50W TDP - not all shader units are working or just power measurement on board is faulty and showing incorrect values.

Who else misses the cool designs on gpu boxes anymore? Now they just huge and exotic.Think with Evga and nividia, alot of other companies are gonna try and take advantage now, and start making gpus we never heard of. Its alright with me, we need more companies with budget gpu.

You really need to include some - power consumption (electric) figures - in these Cost of Living days. You can get a 'thing' that plugs in - for a couple of quid - to measure Watts

I had a maxsun gtx 1060 3gb terminator it was a quiet and cool card. The weird thing is the 1060 3gb terminator model had 8pin power and the 6gb model had 6pin. There are also Yeston branded chinese cards.

I got a Maxsun 4gb GT730 from someone who I sold a GTX1060 to. He said he had no idea what to do with it, so he just gave me it. Ive actually yet to test it, I almost don't want to know how bad it is. Now that I think though, it would probably be right up your alley for testing if you've never come across one of these before.

52fps like Fallout 4 is pretty good if you have a Freesync monitor. You can sync that up to the GPU and it really smooths things out

I got 2 of the rx 580's for 100 quid, both working completely fine and better than my 1050ti that I sold for more than what both of these costed me.

Maxsun is well-known in China as the "Lord of 'beggars'" as they are making some of the best bang for the buck budget cards and motherboards. It is a partnered manufacturer of Intel, NVIDIA and AMD for both cards and chipsets.

Just make sure to read the descriptions thoroughly as not all of them have the full 4 channels for memory! You can usually tell by looking at the motherboards memory layout. If it only has dimm banks on one side of the socket then chances are it's only dual channel
