Nike Hypervenom 3 cheap vs expensive. What is the difference between the most expensive Hypervenom 3 and the cheapest? Today, JayMike talks you through the brand new silo from Nike - all the way from the high-end and high-cut Nike Hypervenom Phantom 3 DF over the Nike Hypervenom Phantom 3, the Nike Hypervenom Phatal 3 to the cheapest Nike Hypervenom Phelon 3. Here, he'll explain every technology and every difference between the four Nike Hypervenom boots and tell you what you get for your money. Is the high-end Phantom 3 better than the take-down version, the Nike Hypervenom Phelon 3? Absolutely. Is it more value for you? Not necessarily. Hear why in our latest Unisport Tech Talk.

In the Hypervenom 3 line-up we have 3 different models - the Phantom 3 DF, Phantom 3, Phatal 3 and the Phelon 3. The most expensive at 290€ and most advanced boot is the high-cut Phantom 3 DF. A lot has already been said about this, but in short, there’s a reason it’s expensive. It’s made with the most innovative, best and softest materials Nike have got, and what makes it stand out is the use of Flyknit all over the upper, the anatomically cut Dynamic Fit Collar, the rate dependent foam pods for a harder strike, knitted Flywire cables for a better, more comfortable and dynamic lockdown and the Hyperreactive sole plate to give you both responsiveness and flexibility where you need it. It’s a tech monster and if you want one of the most advanced boots money can buy, this is a good bet.
PHANTOM
If you either don’t feel the Dynamic Fit Collar or just don’t have enough money for the DF, the Hypervenom Phantom is basically the same football boot with all the wicked features - except for the Dynamic Fit Collar. Instead, it’s low cut, which means that you won’t feel the material around your heel. And even though this is ‘just’ 250€ it’s as much of a top tier boot as the high cut version with exactly the same features. If you want the lowdown on what the lack of the collar means, check out the comparison I did between these two boots by clicking the ‘i’ button right up there.
PHATAL
Taking another step on the ladder, we have the Hypervenom Phatal 3 DF. It’s a bit of an interesting mixture, cause while it IS cheaper at 170€ it’s actually got a lot of the same technologies as the high-end Phantom but just executed in a slightly cheaper way. It still has the Flyknit Dynamic Fit Collar which is really nice - and that has been fused onto a NikeSkin synthetic upper which is a mesh skeleton covered by synthetic - it’s a bit like a more padded version of the Hypervenom 1. It doesn’t feature the 3D pods in any way though. The Flywire cables are still there and so is the sole plate, and although not as dynamic and flexible as on the high end model there’s a lot of bang for the buck here.
PHELON
Lastly, we have the Hypervenom Phelon 3, which will set you back 75€. It’s the only Hypervenom with a tongue, is the more scraped down version of the Hypervenom. With that said, the upper is the same synthetic as the one we see on the Phatal 3, which means that it’s surprisingly soft for a boot in this price range. To save some money you’ve got normal lace holes instead of Flywire but you STILL get 4 loops on the outside to help the lockdown. And yes, it’s a slightly thicker, heavier and not as nimble and premium feeling boot as the expensive models, but it’s still probably the nicest take-down boot in that price range you can find.
