In this series, we compare two distortion pedals with some potentially important differences. Both pedals will be a modified Big Muff style circuit and will be electrically identical. But one pedal will be built using some very rare and expensive vintage components that have a reputation for great tone. The other pedal will be built with standard off-the-shelf components.
