Color is the difference. Panther Martin yellow body with 3 red dots is my go to

Depending on conditions, sometimes the color of the spoon on the spinner (Silver vs. Gold) can determine results. I had situations where Silver was ineffective and once I switched to Gold, I started getting hits. (and vice versa)

Yeah fish can be weird sometimes. But in this case they were hitting both colored spinners, so some days it doesn’t matter what you throw at them they’ll hit it!

This video was dope... you could even follow with a jerkbait test bruh, but what really got me thinking was how easy your survival challenge will be... If you can catch that many fish I'm voting for a 3 day survival camp, catch and cook! You might have to eat a few bland stockers, but hey smoked rainbow is quality survival grub bruh... you got this!

Mepps are the grandaddy classic of trout spinners. Probably the best, most consistent action in the water of any spinner on the market. Though, Blue Fox and Panther-Martin are good as well. I've not been so fond of Worden's Rooster Tails, just because too many times getting that elongated blade to act right has been tricky. Whereas a Mepps engages on virtually any cast, clean or sloppy. One brand of spinner I did *not* expect much of, but which outperformed its price point, was the Blue Fox Flash model. These seem common at Wal-Mart, and I've caught some great trout on this spinner. They loose their feathertail quickly after two or three fish, but it doesn't seem to matter as trout and smallmouth still chomp on these even when the feathertail is virtually gone. Can't say the same for the generic roostertails. Those elongated blades seem even more flat than the genuine Roostertails, and it can be a chore to get them to engage the way they're supposed to. So thumbs-down on those.

Brand doesn’t matter. The fish don’t look and say “oh look a Panther Martin!!”. It’s all about color. I’ve caught my PB Trout with the black and silver blade Ozark Trail Spinner. But great video 🔥

It’s not about what the bait or fly or lure cost. It’s about presentation, color or for a fly how natural the drift is. Nice job on this episode bro. I always tell people that you don’t have to have the top of the line and most expensive gear to catch fish 🤙🏽

@bassntroutfishing

Yeah, you could buy a couple nicer higher end spinners, and stock up on the cheap ones if you’re at a place where you get snagged up a lot.

If you want to get a better setup for a really decent price go with the okuma celilo and a pfluger reel of your choice. You need a better setup man😬 use 6lb line

Everytime I use cheap spinners I have the problem of the whole lure spinning causing line twist
@bassntroutfishing

Every spinner does that, you should really be using a swivel when using spinners, (even though I wasn’t in this video cause I ran out) but that will usually prevent line twist.
