Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia. Its modern skyline is dominated by the 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers, a pair of glass-and-steel-clad skyscrapers with Islamic motifs. The towers also offer a public skybridge and observation deck. The city is also home to British colonial-era landmarks such as the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station and the Sultan Abdul Samad Building.
We travelled to Penang Island from Kuala Lumpur by local bus. It is the cheapest way and very easy.
We booked tickets for the bus using redbus. However, you can use any booking app available and check suitable times locations and prices.
Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) is one of the main express bus terminals in Kuala Lumpur apart from Hentian Duta and Pekeliling Bus Terminal. TBS Bus Terminal is more like a state-of-the-art airport than a bus station. Imagine spending the dreaded wait time for a bus by catching up on some shopping, visiting quaint boutiques, having a bite to eat or sitting down for a nice, refreshing drink.
