really enjoying my prints - have one suggestion on articulation - can you give the models a swivel arm so they can holds guns with both arms? I think at this point your models are of great design and i as a consumer wouldnt even mind if i had to add small screws or glus two pieces to make more articulation possible - thanks for the consideration and keep coming up with those awesome helmet designs

This is something I want to try down the road of development. Now, that I found a resin that works perfectly for me, I can focus more on development and design :) I will post updates on the progress

Thanks for this! Uncle Jessy recently did a video about dusting with some of your Tecco Toys and tried a few options but not one that was perfect. I wanted to go direct to resin for my projects, but have been considering resin molds and desktop injection molding due to the dusting issue. SO GLAD I Google-stumbled onto your pictures saying you use Resione! Hearing "there is no dusting" coming straight from you guys is great news!

Michael if you can try the FUNDO ABS like gray. I used Resione M58 before and I think the FUNDO is better. I printed one of your mechs in 1:24 scale using this resin and I liked the results. Would be great if you could make side by side review. The only downside of this resin is that it scratches rather easily specially before fully cured. On the other hand this is the resin I found to closer to real plastic. Models really feel like plastic to me.

I've had a heck of a time getting this resin to stick to the build plate. I'll give your settings a whirl.
@teccotoys
2 жыл бұрын
It might also help to recalibrate the build plate. When I first started testing with the test Matrix, the first two prints didn't stick correctly to the plate. Mostly because the low exposure rates of 2.2 seconds weren't high enough. After recalibrating the build plate, the prints stuck, but higher layers still detached, as you can see with the first example of my test series in the video. The higher the layer exposure, the better the layers adhered to the build plate and previous layers.

Another thing that helps if your prints fail to stick to the build plate is increasing the amount of bottom layers and increasing bottom layer exposure times.

Same! They suggested 1.8s on the Mono X. I upped that to 2s and lowered the lift/retract speed and finally got the Cones of Calibration and 3DRS Starship to print. I'll try upping the exposure and/or the UV power. Either way, I think I'm really going to like this resin once I get it dialed in...

Thank you for posting this, I have been looking for a resin with similar properties to this for printing articulated joints at 1:6 scale for figures and have not been able to decide between Siraya Tech Abs-like, Siraya Tech Blu, Siraya Tech Tenacious, Phrozen Rigid, Phrozen Nylon Green, or Phrozen Pro410. I'll look into the Resione M58! I'm not sure if I should use one of these resin types or mix them with another to reach the desired properties of consistently flexible yet strong joints.
@teccotoys
Жыл бұрын
I use Resione M58 for all my prototyping and it is a very reliable and tough resin, but like most resins it can become a bit brittle over time and also will lose initial flexibility. If you want to make sure parts keep their flexibility, I can recommend using TH72.

original is 1/35 scale, you want 1/25, simple math: 35/25=1.4 ,or 140%

Yes, we're working on it. It will be 3D printed kits, snap fit assembly, fully poseable action figures. It will take a while longer though. I will post updates an all channels when they're ready for pre-order.

Hi Michael, thank you for the video. I am currently also testing which resin to use for your mechs and figures. I stumbled across the video of a Polish model maker (kzitem.info/news/bejne/yJiVr2FvjoyWoGU). How brittle is the resin when it falls off the table (happened several times with my Junior). At the moment I use SiraTech Fast Smoky Black with 15% Tenacious. I will also try the Resione. Thanks for your tests. Have a nice weekend

Thanks for the link, going to watch it :) I haven't done any drop or stability tests yet, but judging from the way the assembly went (no breaking on the nsap fit joints, even with a very, very tight fit, no surface scratching/dusting at all) I assume it's a pretty durable resin.
@hugo_bart
2 жыл бұрын
did you also try blue/tenacious? (80:20). this mix is my current go to, but i also have fast - maybe your mix fits even better? i a mostly interested in 200% mechs, there is much pressure on the joints

@@hugo_bart hi christoph, i havent test blue but i have it here. Fast Grey is crap... for me. 50% and more fails. Does not stick well on the buildplate.
