We’re doing great. We have a cabin on our son’s property. It’s in a small town in the country. The authorities cut our power early one morning for an hour. The cabin got down to 43 degrees. We stayed in bed with several quilts-we were warm and cozy. We were prepared and did fine. We’re in North Alabama and today we were in the mid 60’s!

It looks good. Chicken is my favorite meat. I also love seafood. We did good during the cold. Stayed by the fireplace. We're going out over the next few days and cut wood. I agree with you, we'll get hit again with cold weather. Buffalo got hit very hard. In our car we keep energy bars, water, blankets, small pillows, hand and foot warmers, rope, matches, candles, cell charger cable, extra hats, gloves, keep a full tank of gas, first aid, flares, toilet paper, lip gloss, a bag of clay litter, etc. We keep a large storage tote in the back of our Ford Transit. Did I miss anything.🤔😅

You are so kind and caring! So glad you guys are doing well. It warmed up here to 40+ degrees --- heat wave! 😆 Weak spots discovered were: need for more winter clothing, particularly long pants and turbo-soled boots for icier days. That tasty-looking dinner has "comfort/cozy" all over the plate. 😋

Hoping everyone faired well throughout the storms! We only lost power for the day... cooked dinner on woodstove. Was prepared for longer. Temps were crazy for few days, then went back to normal. Got so cold, chickens didn't want to come out of the coop. Waterers get changed out one day within 2 hrs, they froze up again. Kept thawing them by the woodstove and replacing...By Saturday, here in CT temps going into 50s. Buffalo always gets hit hardest with these storms. I cooked the delicata squash btw for Christmas, being a New Englander, I put garlic pepper and maple syrup on it and it was delicious! I wouldn't have tried it with out you!! I'm going try and grow it this coming season instead of butternut. I got a 5 in 1 toaster airfryer for Christmas. I'm not great at air frying, still learning, that and the instant pot are little intimidating....hint...hint, LOL!

Hi there! Doing good here in Ohio. Warmed up enough for the snow to start melting. I went out for the first time in 6 or 7 days. Went to Aldi to grab some things. Still working on building up the pantry. As far as holes in our emergency preparation we did okay. Nothing urgently needed, but a few things I want to add over the next month or 2. Thanks as always for sharing. Dinner looked wonderful! Take care !!🤗

Hi Fanny, those wings and the entire dinner look good. I love sautéed squash. The water pipes froze in our master shower but the sinks and tub worked fine. My hubby drug in his heat lamps from the garage and got the pipes thawed after about 24 hours. I didn’t leave the house for days and had everything I needed to cook with and more. How did you fare in Oklahoma.

Glad your pipes were OK , our kitchen did that in that big Feb 2021 storm . This year much better but we did learn from the last time and covered those bases and did more of that after this year . We were much warmer this time thankfully . Glad I got all that would in summer

What do they say about fish and company? Man it reeks around here. Ha Had my fingers crossed that the furnace wouldn’t die, that was quite a load.
