Probably the first one had some gunk in the floppy drive that got transferred to the disk, and then the disk transferred the gunk to the second one!

It's interesting the kind of exorbitant prices they were trying to get for these systems as it was. $199 for a 486 in this day and age? Who are they kidding? Even $50 a machine is steep. $10-$20 is about right, and that should be normal price. Unless of course they were keeping the prices high to prevent the "golddiggers" from melting them down.
