🍽️ Ingredients for 8-10 pieces
🥛 Milk - 125 ml warm
💧 Water - 170 ml warm
🫒 Oil - 60 ml
🍬 Sugar - 1.5 tablespoons
🌾 Flour - approximately 550 gr
🍞 Yeast - 20 gr fresh or 7 gr dry
🧂 Salt - 1.5 teaspoons
🧈 Melted butter - 200 gr
🍴 For filling
🧀 Cow's cheese - 500 gr
🥚 Eggs - 2/3 pieces
🧂 Salt - 2 teaspoons (or 2 tablespoons of sugar for sweet filling)
👉 If you want a sweet filling, add the following to the cheese:
🍯 Sugar - 100 gr (or to taste)
🍋 Grated lemon peel - 1 teaspoon
🌿 Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon
🍇 Raisins - 50 gr (optional, pre-hydrated in warm water)
🍽️ Method of preparation
🥄 1. Pour 125 ml of warm milk, 170 ml of warm water, 60 ml of oil, 20 g of fresh yeast (or 7 g of dry yeast) and 1.5 tablespoons of sugar into a bowl. Mix until the yeast dissolves.
🧂 2. Add 1.5 teaspoons of salt and sifted flour gradually (approximately 550 gr). Flour can vary as needed.
🥣 3. We mix until we get a soft and sticky dough.
⏲️ 4. We cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place, until it doubles in volume.
🧀 5. Meanwhile, prepare the filling: mix 500 g of cottage cheese with 2/3 eggs and 2 teaspoons of salt (or 2 tablespoons of sugar for the sweet filling). If we want a sweet filling, add 100 g of sugar, 1 teaspoon of grated lemon peel, 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence and 50 g of raisins.
🔪 6. Divide the dough into 8-10 equal pieces. If necessary, we use flour to make it easier to work.
🥄 7. Roll out each piece of dough with a rolling pin into a thin sheet and spread 2 tablespoons of melted butter over the entire surface of the sheet.
🧀 8. Form the pies according to the image and put 1 tablespoon of filling in each part.
⏲️ 9. After filling the pies, we cover them and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
🥚 10. Grease the pies with a mixture of 2-3 egg yolks, a spoonful of milk and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
🔥 11. We bake them in the preheated oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes, until they turn brown.
