We spoke with Chef Lai Hin Tong William, Executive Chef, Memories of China at Vivanta by Taj in Bangalore about Chinese cuisine's popularity in Bangalore. He also shares some of his favorite Indian dishes that he likes to eat in Bangalore.
Memories of China opened in 1986 and serves authentic Chinese cuisine from different regions of China.
Chef William made his first trip to India in 1981 when he joined Taj Coromondel in Chennai (Madras). He worked in other parts of the world, before returning to India to head as the Executive Chef at Memories of China in Vivanta by Taj at Bangalore.
