Chef Saito's favourite way to cook Black Cod - Saikyoyaki (銀鱈西京焼き) - Washoku Tips
Hello everyone! Welcome to the Chef Saito Channel!
This is another episode of Washoku tips where we teach you how to make Japanese dishes.
In this episode Chef Saito is showing us how to cook miso marinated Black cod.
In Japanese this is called Saikyo-yaki.
It is very popular in Kyoto.
Below are the ingredients.
It is very simple so please try at home.
2 - 3 fillets Black Cod
100g WHITE MISO OR SAIKYO MISO
30g MIRIN ( SWEET SAKE)
50g SAKE
30g SUGAR
1 clove GARLIC
10g GINGER
You can also make this with other fish such as Salmon, Grappa and King Fish.
Please try this with your favourite fish.
