Amy, thank you so much for your kitchen Aid stand mixer comparison. I'm 67 years old and always wanted one. I just bought myself one to make bread and love it. Your comparison helped me to buy the correct mixer and I was so excited I bought two mixers 1 for me, 1 for my daughter and now I want to buy one for my son. I look at your videos often and have learned so much! Thanks again for all you do to help those less familiar with quality kitchen products! Your fan, Dee

Thanks for the reviews. I have ~13 nieces and nephews who are starting to get married and I have always thought that these stand mixers make wonderful wedding gifts especially since their oma had a Bosch since the 1950's and cooked all the time, so much in fact that it went through two motors. The Bosch is too expensive as is the Kitchen Aid (and the quality seems to be troubling), I'll be looking at this one except that it is the 3in one model or the Litchi 3 in one. Great reviews as usual.

Thanks for the great review, Amy. I agree with you - this is a very good mixer for the money. Seems like most of the tilt heads move around when under a bulky load. This mixer did a great job on all 3 tests. (Loved Eric and the whipped cream scene - what a brat). I would also like to see you review the Kenwood. They seem similar to the Cuisinart. Thanks again.

Amy, This might be a great alternative to a KitchenAid as a beginners stand mixer. Either that or a powerful hand mixer by either Cuisinart or KitchenAid. Or if someone is selling their old KitchenAid Stand Mixer that they have used, then I could get that but I would purchase a new bowl and beaters Don't get me wrong, I still want a KitchenAid in the future but I might consider this Cheftronic mixer as a start especially for my budget. Hopefully I could still catch a KitchenAid Stand Mixer on sale at a clearance price in the future.

Hi! Great review! I was wondering if you have had a chance to try out the blender and meat grinder attachments for the Cheftronic? Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoy our videos. I seem like a nut? You're not convinced yet? LOL! Glad you find our videos entertaining as well. Amy started reviewing products by using the gadgets from her Pan Room. This madness escalated from that. Sometimes we seek vendors based on requests. But we can't review everything, including those appliances that are designed to run overseas (such as in Europe or Asia due to different voltage ratings). Glad you are still motivated to cook. I hope you are able to share your knowledge with friends or family so that others can share in your joy of cooking. That's one of the sad things today is that not enough young people learn from their elders and that is such a waste. My grandma knew how to cook, and I was too young to care to learn. Let us know how your bread turns out. Amy sometimes does bread in the bread machine, at least to allow it to mix and rise, and then bakes in a bread pan so we don't have that big hole in the bottom. Thank you for your kind words. I hope we continue to be enjoyable.

A bread machine is very "set it and forget it." If you are just going to make basic sandwich bread, it is a good option. A stand mixer allows you to get a better feel for the dough but also at the same time you have to be there the whole time. It really depends on what you are looking for. I have both because I am a kitchen gadget freak!

Actually none of these. Kitchen Aid needs repair all the time, unless the commercial lines, because of plastic gears and it is no longer made by Hobart but by whirlpool which has them made in China and quality has fallen. Look up all the reviews. You are better off with a Kenwood.

This cheftronic has a 650 watt motor whereas the $200 KA's are in the 250-275 watt range. Beefier motor is great when you start with bread & pizza dough. Using the flex blade on the thicker peanut dough will transfer some motion to the head as it scrapes. If it was rigid enough to not flex you'd probably wear out the planetary gear set prematurely. Like she said, all the tilt heads move some.

How would you say that this performs next to a Bosch? I was going to go for a Bread Machine, but since I'm in the kitchen often, I can oversee what a mixer is doing. (I might get a brad machine if I get a really really good sale on it). I thought of an Anksrum one but the price is way too much for me. I want to make bread for my family, and we do bake cakes often, so right now for me it's between a Bosch, a KA and this. What are your thoughts?
@AmyLearnsToCook
7 жыл бұрын
If you are going to make bread often...particularly with multiple loaves or heavy flours, I would look into the Bosch or the Ank. This mixer is great for cakes, cookies, and very occasional bread dough. If you are new to cooking, it is a great starter mixer. If you are going to do a lot of bread dough, I would go for something made for bread. Just remember though that something made for bread at the same time may not be great for smaller batches of cookies, whipped cream, etc. The Bosch you have to have an extender to do small batches because it is built for heavier loads. That is way I say long term it is best to have something heavy duty for breads and another machine for the smaller, lighter jobs.
@ivon_reborn
7 жыл бұрын
This leaves me so conflicted. I have a family of 4 and sometimes (not often) we have guests. We like to bake cakes and I am interested in breads. BUT... I would like to do small batches of cookies and some whipped creams every now and then. Ughh... just when I thought that I was going to go for the Bosch... I am conflicted yet again. I wanted to go for 2 loaves of bread a week and a cake a week. I don't want multiple machines because... well... hubby will kill me LOL. But I could do one machine. Now, I'm wondering on whether I should go for the KA 600 pro series for what I need. (This is what poor people have to go through when they can only get one thing). LOL
@AmyLearnsToCook
7 жыл бұрын
I would just buy it from a place with a good return policy. If you don't like it, you can exchange or return it. Costco has a great return policy and they sell the 6 quart KA mixer. I like the Bosch and I like the KA as well. The Bosch will give you the option of making multiple loaves and you can get a dough hook extender if you only want to make 1 or 2 loaves. It is just a matter of preference I guess.
@EricLearnstoCook
7 жыл бұрын
I agree with Amy. If your main goal is to save money and only make cookies and cakes, then this might work for you. People have burned up KAs making 2 loaves of bread/week, so I'm not confident that would be good for this guy. An occasional loaf maybe. Buying from someone with a generous return policy is great. Otherwise, the Bosch should be able to handle whatever you want it to do.

After weeks and weeks of going through videos, and reading blogs... I finally took the plunge and got myself a Bosch Universal. OMG, I absolutely LOVE it! My husband says that our home smells like a bakery. It's not as beautiful as a KA, but OMG the fact that it can knead the bread for me. (I almost got the Costco KA (600 professional series), but I'm glad that I got this instead. Thanks for your videos, and your encouragement. I hope that this is a beginning of a more healthier family without the harmful chemicals in a box. :)

+DT The mixer did knead it. I edited some out because it is kinda boring just watching it knead. I did the same for the whipped cream and the cookies. I was just sparing you the details of watching it mix.

+Curiosity Thanks Curiosity. I have 11 stand mixers and the last thing I really need is another one. I was sent this mixer by the company but I reviewed it because I was interested in seeing how it performs. I love kitchen stuff in all shapes, sizes, and price ranges. Many people do not want to invest, or are unable to invest, hundreds of dollars in a mixer. This is one that should be on their short list when making their shopping decision. The last round I tested the Hamilton Beach, Sunbeam, and Dash Go. This is a larger mixer that is not much more money. I really wanted to test it directly against the Hamilton Beach because it was the winner of my under $100 stand mixer challenge. I couldn't tho because I gave the Hamilton Beach to someone that loves to cook but couldn't afford one. The HB is a nice little mixer at a great price but the Cheftronics gives you the same performance as the HB but it is the size of the Artisan. I put it through exactly the same tests tho and it performed quite well.
