I love how you explain things with such great enthusiasm and humor. Thanks a lot! (this video really rivals KA) :P

So the alpha particle is basically an unstable atom being broken apart by the nucleus and its proton and neutron ratio is subtracted by the helium ratio to give us a new element that when u add helium ratio to it u get the original ratio with the atom u started with. Whoa made it pretty complicated didn't I?

How would you figure out how many electrons and an Atom has? My teacher told us it's always equal to the number of Protons but you said Helium had none. So I'm just a little confused.

i would like to know what would happen if i compress oxygen and hydrogen together and if an atom consists of a proton (positively charged) and electron (negatively charged) on an orbit and opposites attract ,why doesnt the electron stick to the proton or what causes the electron to orbit is gravity or what i have no idea about chemistry so please answer thanks,

How is the He the Alpha Particle? Can't it just be the Th? Or is it because it's under the number 84? :/ If you know, please PM me. Thanks :)

Yes, since it has more than 84 protons in it's nucleis, it's radioactive.

do nuclear reactions always create an alpha partial element? and how would i know if something is an alpha particle element based on writing? and can only "He" be an alpha particle?

@MCmon1337 if your chemistry teacher gets so annoyed by a term, he's sexually frustrated. Be careful.

it's none of his business what you call it, as long as bucky's information is correct, who gives a rats ass that your teacher hates it?
