Thanks bucky! I am learning this in HS and my teacher sucks so coming home to watch this helps a lot!

@BoIoko less mass probably needs more energy because it nedds to keep the protons and neurons together and not allow them to be pulled by other elements with more mass

The most powerful fusion bomb that bucky is relating to is the tsar bomba dropped by the russians to prove they had the most powerful weaponry. The first one to be tested by the US was called Ivy Mike

I know you were just inventing numbers, but.. if heavier nucleus have less strong-force energy, so deuterium (mass 2) should have more energy than tritium (mass 3) ? you supposed that 20 is needed for tritium and 10 for deuterium... i don't get it. Thanks for the lesson though

My nickname is Fusion since i am 11 because someone asked me what fission and fusion are and i answered that with a professional physics answer, and from that moment everybody calls me Fusion , when i get time to watch this tutorial i will write a review on this tutorial in a comment because i am sure that you can't know more about fission and fusion, physics than me .

Q: If fusion is simply the excess strong force being releases since it's not needed to hold the new fused atom together, why do people say Fusion is about converting mass to energy? Is the Strong force matter? I thought it was energy..and if it is, then fusion is about converting mass to energy -- right? Thx

I made a mistake, this should read: ..and if it is, then fusion is NOT about converting mass to energy -- right?
