Truly amazing coverage of a not-often played opening...except where you might meet it in a variation tourney, perhaps!? Thanks for that!

This is excellent. I was playing 1,... e5 2, Bxe5 Bxb4 but not getting much of an advantage. The key is to play c5 then bring the bishop back via a5- very strong. Do you have any plans to release a video for black's response to 1, b3 ? That's the only opening I don't have anything special against.

I play Tiger's Modern/Modern (1...g6) as my main opening and recently found a nice way to play against 1.b3. The move I now use is 1...e5, which is used by Wesley So. Most of time I seem to get an advantage from the opening and the system is relatively simple. Main line goes 1.b3 e5 2.Bb2 Nc6 3.e3 g6 4.Bb5 Bb7 5.f4 Nge7 6.Nc3 d6 7.fxe5 0-0 This was from the game Artemiev-So, 2020 chess.com Speed. Even Kasparov used the same system against Karjakin in 2017 St Lous Blitz. The system is relatively simple as you basically always play the moves 1...e5...Nc6...g6...Bg7...d6 etc. This is especially comfortable system for those players who play 1.c4 e5 vs the english opening

what if 1.b4. c5? (in Rapid or Blitz tournaments) inspired by Sicilian Wing Gambit

Declined Birmigham gambit 2. b5!!

actually I tried 1.b4. c5 before, most of the games not really transpose to Sicilian Wing Gambit if White castling Kingside, the main idea is to entice Bishop at b2 exchange with Black’s Knight on f6, Bxf6 gxf6 Open g-file for Rooks and of course Black keeps Bishop pair, control b8-h2 & a8-h1

whats the flaw with 1...d5 2...Qd6 approach I chose to adopt it which is the first time choosing a line you didnt explain much. It looks very good tho.

I used to play that too, but it doesn’t seem to be working that well vs better guys, the plan I gave there is absolutely the best Giri and Mamedyarov used it

Main purpose of queen d6 is that it prevents white from pushing pawn to b5 because queen to b4 forks pawn and bishop. But if white simply enforce his structure with a3 he is very solid. And may even consider sac of c pawn to hunt queen and get developed fast. I reached 1800 rating playing Polish opening as white and it is surprisingly solid.
