I am not sure what Neil is talking about.Todd does a great chess tournament series for kids, the best in the Denver area.Clearly, this video is educational and is to help.

This should be called "Scholastic Chess Tournament Tips". It was all geared towards kids and parents. Most tournaments that I played in, back in the 1990's, were 70-80% adults.

Moving quickly is my asset, not mistake. If I take forever i second guess myself. As a player who sacs every game, i cant afford to second guess a sacrifice

Nah it's a mistake,doesn't matter who you are,what u are saying is an excuse
@johnvuillemot4805

@@apmaz6112 no...no it isnt. If I wait too long to move I get in time trouble and quickly lose because I have no time. Also I over consider things, like if my opponent can get counter play, which usually still isnt enough to justify what they've lost, but I still dont make the move. It's not an excuse, it's a fact.

If you know of a local chess club or a school chess club ask the owner of the chess club as they should know if not put in the state/county chess club on google and that should show some tournaments. GL :D

the rules are (for example) you have so many many minutes for so many moves and so man y minutes for the rest of the game, THESE ARE PROVIDED BY THE TOURNAMENT ORGANISERS-if not and and nobody broght one you could think for an infinate amount of time, FREAK!
