Yes, it's crepitus. It feel like a combination of skin with rice krispies underneath.

Hello! Thanks for this good video. I want to ask the reason of tidaling. normal paitient(without pneumothorax) does not show tidaling but pneumothorax patient do, doesn't it? I want to know the difference. can you tell me?

Everyone would tidal. WE just don't see non-pneumo patients that have a chest tube.

@@gaillupica9187 In our hospital, use pigtail for pleural effusion drainage. And through that, only pneumothorax pt show oscillation. I want to figure it out, but hard;;

what keeps the water in the water seal from being sucked up?

It's too heavy. Heavier than air so that's how it can provide that water seal, as long as the "straw" is underneath the water seal line and therefore a closed system is maintained.
