Love to see another guy struggling to make progress despite not having friends to come over and help and figuring out ways to do it yourself. Great video Travis! Keep them coming!

Hey Travis, I had a similar problem with my 1967 Supernatural Impala. With the wide wheels and tires (like the ones on the show) mounted, there was clearance issues on the driver's side rear. It was as if the rear end was shifted too far on the driver's side. I had another shop do all the brake and suspension work, and added performance boxed rear upper and lower control arms. The mechanic working on the car suggested an adjustable panhard rod to correct the clearance issue, and that worked for me. Some people thought the body mount bushings, but mine checked ok, and the frame is straight. It is a common issue with cars like mine, and the adjustable panhard rod is the most common correction. I hope that takes care of the issue you are having as well! Great video! Keep up the good work!

One way to do it. Me I just placed a 2x6 across inboard side of the tire and placed a bottle nose jack between the board an the frame and let the jack do the pushing to align the track bar. Easy Peasy for me. Nice video

Thanks for watching, that isn't a bad idea at all with the bottle jack! May have to give it a try next time I install one. I appreciate the tip.

Dude, check out the transmission mounts and motor mounts. Also is your rear end centered? The large u bolts holding the axle down can be loosened and center up the rear end.

Hey buddy, I think it is prob the motor mounts, I found an extra pair of mounts behind the seat... makes me think hmmm. You know I didn't think about the rear end itself possibly being off a bit, good idea man, I will get out there with a tape measure later & check it out!

@@CLASSICSAREBETTER hey man. Thank you!!!! Bro you gave me the courage to do this. Here’s the master plan... I want to get a shut box truck, put it on my trailer.. head across the country, meeting my followers and mentors.. we all do one little project together and by the time I circle the USA I’ll have a killer truck to raffle off!!

Normal yes, I have since LS swapped this truck, and turns out the old 305sbc in this video was mounted crooked using box tube for motor mounts lol. Its perfectly aligned now with the LS.
