Yo, dry brine your steak with salt overnight. Season with ground black pepper and garlic powder 10 min prior to cooking. Pop it in the oven for 2.5-3 hours at 200 degrees, then finish with high heat sear for 1 min a side. Let it rest with a tiny bit of butter on top for 10 minutes. Thank me later.

Tim regarding your last statement in this vlog, man you lucky! in my experience, you either have a hot chick or a cool chick! Hence you need to settle in some point regarding who you choose in order to get married! What I've noticed is: really good looking people usually don't have a very developed interesting personality because they never had to work on it when growing up. My ex is hot ( face and body ) but has a very bad temper and we used to fight all the time!!! Getting married would have been a mistake! We still see each other time to time though, we are just friends with benefit now whenever we both single. It been like that for the last 2 years and we never fought since! we only dated for 4 months initially but it was toxic!

To cook a good pan seared steak you’re gonna have to touch the meat a bit more especially when you’re just learning to cook it. The feel of the steak as it cooks will tell you a lot about where it is. When you’re cooking medium, you wanna generally sear on one side until you begin to see blood start to rise to the top of the side facing you, then flip and cook maybe another 4 to 7 mins depending. You wanna look and see that when you press into the middle of the steak blood still rises through. For rare you’re looking for a feeling like that of when you touch your cheek, usually calling for under 10 mins total searing time. Medium is like the feeling beneath your thumb, and well would be your chin....ish haha these are suggestions from my personal experience take it with a grain of salt

In order to really gauge the doneness of a steak, you have to cut the steak in half or closer to the center. This is more indicative of the true doneness of the steak as the outside areas are thinner and cook faster.
