I am also a big fan of the Oxford Classics version of Trollope because the notes are so helpful. I discovered Trollope during a very stressful time in my life and found his books enormously involving I still read him during times of stress. When I become distressed by "current events" in the world, my husband says, "Don't you think you should be reading some Trollope?"

I was like that with Jane Austen, but Trollope helps too!

Yay, Trollope! 👏🏻 The Susan Wittig Albert book is adorable and looks like it will be a cozy read. Janelle is dearly missed, for sure. ❤ I just read The Story of a Country House and really enjoyed it! Hope Freddie is doing better. Wonderful haul, thanks for sharing. 📚

So many great Trollopes! I've only read The American Senator! I have a Trollope in that edition called Ralph the Heir, another one I know nothing about. Janelle shout out! I'm still so sad about her death too. 😭 The Book of England is so intriguing! The Story of the Country House has an amazing cover! I have that on my TBR too.

For reading Trollope, I really like the Oxford World Classics because of the very helpful explanatory notes and the author/history chronology. Agree with you about the Dover Editions they don’t have any helpful “extras”. Hope your kitty 🐱 is back to feeling well now that you are home from Chicago. Think the letters were phased out of phone numbers in the 70’s.

Have enough Trollope and Gaskell in the stack to read for several Victobers in the future. I loved A Man Called Ove and Britt-Marie was here, I'll get to Anxious People.

Good King Richard? 😂 Also, your description of The American Senator: "It's about the American senator" 😂 I'm not a fan of politics and fox hunts either but somehow can tolerate Trollope politics and fox hunts because Trollope. I never thought about the colors on the tops of the Oxford classics editions having any significance; now I wonder 🤔 I'd read Catherine's London 😘
