Peter Cetera was a far superior bassist and one of the best vocalists in history with a very unique and distinctive voice. Its Chicago's loss they let a once in a lifetime talent like Cetera go. Big mistake.

As great as Peter was, Jason filled in pretty well, he continued their legacy and added more top 40 hits for about another 5 yrs after Cetera left.

Big Cetera fan and miss his voice in these songs. But, and it's a big butt, Jason filled those huge shoes so very well. He was the voice of Chicago, with Bill Champlin, for 30 years, and without him and Bill, the band would have sunk. And I think you should do some research on Jason's skills as a bassist. Thank you to Jason, Bill, and all of the band for the soundtrack of my life! 🙏 ❤

What we don’t see, coming from a fan perspective, is the daily grind that comes with producing quality music like this and performing it live over 200 days a year… YEAR AFTER YEAR… it definitely takes its toll on the performers. Peter Cetera was down for the music, but burned out on the never ending touring. He also developed personal issues with some of the other members of Chicago, and after 17 albums, he decided enough was enough and left the band to launch his solo career and spend more time with his family. A lot of people don’t take into account that actors and musicians are also real people with lives and families when they’re not entertaining us. The have hopes and aspirations just like the rest of us and ups and downs as well. If you were to put a camera in their homes, you’d see the same drama we all face and deal with everyday, and they STILL find the time to make us happy in the process… that’s not too shabby.

The sax solo isn’t even that great. Mediocre musicians who ended up having great hits because of Cetera’s voice and songwriting, wanted to milk it with nonstop touring, and ran off the golden goose.
