Born and raised on the south side of Chicago. I’m 42 years old and it’s crazy because my aunt lives right down the street from there. Everything in this video has been going on for a long time. I’ve lived all over, seen and smelled death. I don’t know 1 successful drug dealer or gang banger that I grew up with. What people don’t realize is there are doctors, HR Directors, Occupational therapist that live in those neighborhoods. Sometimes you don’t even realize how bad of a neighborhood you live in because it’s quite and nice homes. I got out of the city when I realized I wouldn’t even go to the store after 4pm. My grandmother raised me to want more so I saw enough to know better. Im a female but I saw so much. Stopped a gang banger from getting on the bus to try and kill a dude and both had guns. He would’ve shot right through my sister. Saw dead bodies in alleys. My cousin did 25 years in jail because he passed the gun to his friend who ended up killing a dude. His friend later on committed suicide. I could go on and on…I made something of myself. God is so good but it’s extremely dangerous in the city.

Although my life hasnt been long since im only a teenager in highschool however I don't think I have experienced this fear or danger possibly because I don't live in the dangerous side of chicago ? I'm not sure but it's been quite peaceful and my neighborhood does have a elementary and a lot of grade schoolers hang out after school really often, some even hangout until 8pm. I know chicago known for being dangerous however I haven't seen much nor heard of any stories other than being on the internet. @@hstone39 Detroit aint worse than the hoods of Chicago. But in terms of looks and population of the 2 cities as a whole Detroit is worse. Ppl think Chicago isn’t that bad because of population which is very much true. 70% of Chicago is relatively safe. but when you go into the bad neighborhoods its a different story 90% of Chicago vilence is concentrated in only about 10-12 neighborhoods so ur talking neighborhoods that are averaging 40-80 kllings and over 200-400 shooting vctims with only a average population of ranging from 17k-35k and a combined population of 500k with 689 killings and 3,543 shooting victims so far this year. I believe thats wayy worse than Detroit. The overall population of the city covers it up alot. IMHO this is what happens when we allowed our factories to pack up out of the cities and move to asia. These kid's grandparents lived well working in union jobs at factories, but now look what taking those jobs away did: They live in a hopeless area with nothing outside of retail or food service and too few opportunities for education due to politicians giving up on these places. At 3:31 what they were doing is checking something called a "Linear Danger Area" in infantry speak. Large open areas that are punctuated by high foot or vehicle traffic like that are easy kill zones, and you want to get across them as quickly as possible and get back out of the NLD, or "natural line of drift." It's interesting how infantry tactics start to get utilized by people in dangerous areas, like human nature.

Having kids is also being with kids, raising them, no days off. Going to work, making a living, provides for them, and I am not talking about being a neighborhood pharmacy either. The Mother's who would love to have their man, their kids Father, make that money and provide support. It builds a future for your kids and as a family. All the Mother's raising their kids alone get much respect and credit because they brought their kids to a future. Think about it all. Make the conscious decision to work for it. "Ain't shit change.... its chiraq-- if you know you know....its a whole lotta...shit dangerous you know. but we dangerous too so it really dont matter" The realest words ever spoken... he encapsulated everything wrong with our culture/ our country/ and our state of mind as human beings in this illusion of a shit show we call America. I literally pray for every person living in a hood like this... I used to live in a hood, and I thought when i was there.. this shit foul and fckn crazy and dangerous.. but looking back compared to what i see going on in a lotta hoods today and it feels like the old hood was actually a gated community in the hills by comparison....We gotta do better to end this shit.. the system and all of the scum bag people involved in it.. are making money off of every dead black and brown man, off of every incarcerated black or brown or poor person out there.... we got bigger enemies and we are too busy squabbling over petty beefs.. and who looked at who the wrong way... instead of literally looking at one another and saying... we are on the same fucking level here.... we are ALL struggling and hungry and full of pain... maybe we should unite and find out whose really wanting us to be at each others throats like this??? Whose really benefitting from our continued ignorance and stupidity... They infiltrate anything good or social we try to do.. and we let them break us down.. divide us.. we LITERALLY sell their poison to each other.. we LITERALLY feed into the very sickness that they gave us.... No ones gunna come save us.. this is their plan for our people.... to watch us kill each other off on IG and laugh about it. to have no remorse... to believe that the young black kid across the block is the person stopping you from your greatness... or stopping you from a nice car with rims... nah nah fam.... its not someone in another set or another gang thats your enemy... youve been used and played and you dont even realize it.

There is violence in this South Side hood of Chicago. Take the people out and no more violence. Take the Black people out and insert Asian. No more violence. It's not the geography. It's not the air. It's not the buildings. It's the Black culture that lives there. That's what needs to change. The culture needs to learn to give to each other more than take from each other. Would that be an easy change. I'd think not. Up hill battle. But what other options do you have? One more thing. There is just as much ego as survival going on in the hood.
