A citizen of Turtle Island once told me that the largest cultural center in america is located in east los angeles. The mexicas. Also under a highway in san diego is chicano park. The struggle is real but our indigenous ancestors will forever live on through us. AHO! ENLALESH! Cualli yohualli!

I often wish my parents settled in California instead of the east coast. Although I've never been to the west coast I'd feel a lot more connected to my roots because there's a lot of Mexicans living in Los Angeles (especially East LA.) There's a lot of street vendors with AUTHENTIC Mexican food. Consider yourself blessed if you live in Cali. I wish we had that where I live.

The mural you started out with in Culver City was painted by UPPA(United Paiters and Public Artists), Ernesto DeLa Loza, Willie Herron, Carlos Callejo, Mictlan Murals and K2S crew in 2011 as a protest to the mural moratorium and to honor the spirit of David Alfaro Siqueiros, I was one of the organizers

Beautiful murals! A friend of mine, Alfredo Diaz Flores did a lot of murals in Los Angeles, as well. His biggest one is in downtown San Jose, California of a Salvador Dali Christ. His license plate on his California car was "MURALS".

Great video! I really enjoyed watching it! I wanted to point out the translation in minute 3:01 as well. I think the word illiterate would fit better, as it’s the actual translation of « Analfabeta »

To talk about, celebrate, discuss, appreciate, examine, explore, marvel---in regards to Mexican history, heritage and culture and not include and honor the African component, the African influence and the African contribution remains a historical and racial impossibility

#wtf homie, Africans have NOTHING to do with us. We aren't African, we have less than 3% African in our DNA (on average) in us....#gtfo please
