Friends, I just learned that Chick died 2 days ago on 2/9/21 of a rare form of cancer! I'm shocked, saddened and grateful to this SPECTACULAR human being for all he has left us with, what a loss! God bless him!

I just watched your video yesterday and could not believe his performance. After watching, I listened to his performance probably 10 times on my drive back home. Thank you Dave for these master classes, they bring the music much more closer to me. RIP CHICK, thanks for everything.

Hi Dave. I am a Brazilian musician and I just want to say that Chick will always be my greatest reference on the piano. The genius is gone, but his work will remain. Master RIP.

An excellent Master Class and summary of many of the keyboard techniques of an Astounding talent who has sadly left us! A virtuosic technique, compositional brilliance and an innate rhythmic mastery made him truly a "one off" Talent! Thank God for his Life and Music!!

Wow! A great master class indeed! But I do have a question: Could anybody explain what is meant by 'harmonic moniker'?
@DaveFrank

It's a repeated section in a composition or improv that is basic to the piece, it's usually come back to a few times..
