Chickfila was my very first job as a teen. I can attest to how clean their kitchen is. We stayed until like 11 pm every night scrubbing the kitchen, equipment and the floors. We get them from the supplier in plastic bags that hold the nuggets in marinade the whole time. We just open the bags and BOOM marinated raw chicken. 2) Note the yellow gloves. At Chick-fil-A, stuff that is touching raw meet is colored yellow. Gloves, trashcans, aprons, etc. This employee actually broke the rules a few times by touching non-raw surfaces/tools with the yellow gloves (eg dropping the nuggets in oil is not the breader's job its the machines person's job), which actually does happen sometimes at work lately, because supply chain issues means that we don't always have enough gloves of each color (yellow for raw, clear for everything else). Since the gloves are identical except for color it's not an issue. In that case, we have to keep it straight in our head what we are doing and avoid cross contamination. The video cuts several times so I believe it's possible they did it right. 3) This person dropped nuggets, and stirred the oil with the drop tool (0:40). A common error in this process is not stirring the nuggets enough at this moment, which results in some of the nuggets sticking together when they cook. Those get tossed out because no-one likes nasty milkwash-breader sludge and raw chicken nuggets. 4) The employee after pressing the button to start the timer is supposed to don a priestly robe and sanctify the chicken. This is done in order to ensure the chicken is not overcooked by any stray lightning bolts. 5) At 0:45 there's information on the breader's display, displaying what's cooking and the time left to cook. The number on the left goes down a bit every time the frier is used. When it gets to zero the machine locks so no new timers can be activated. You then have to drain and clean the frier of any fallen chicken or coater debris, and when you drain and refill that oil it goes through several filters. The machine lasts longer and the chicken is better. Idk what other details to point out here.

You know it’s always great ordering a case of large gloves on the truck and a case of medium and getting nothing. Been a while since those issues but we usually go and buy some instead of letting yellow be on our line.

As a former kitchen manager I’m pretty sure that coater gotta be sifted and changed and your not suppose to use that same pair of yellow gloves to stir the nuggets and press the timer..that’s cross contamination to anyone else who comes to pick up the food..you need a machine person for that. Uh haha.

One time my mom went through the drive through, ordered all the food, went back to reach for her purse to realize she had forgotten it. The employee working there said not to worry about and gave us all that food for free! My mom tried to write them a check, but they refused to take it and said it was all good. Made me love them even more, truly friendly people! Side note: I do not encourage you to "forget" your purse/money and take advantage of their kindness in hopes to get free food~
