Chicken Teriyaki Bento / Teriyaki Oyako Chikin Bentō

[ Ingredients ]
Chicken thigh - 1 piece
Egg - 1 piece
Snap peas - 3 slices ( blanched )
Cooked rice - 1 bowl
Edible seaweed ( Sushi Nori ) - 1/2 sheet
[ Seasonings ]
Sake - 1 tablespoon
Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
Mirin - 1 tablespoon + 1/2 or 1 tablespoon
* adjust to the taste of liking !
Salt - some
[ Method ]
1. Trimmed & sinew free for the chicken thigh if is thickness.
2. Combine 3 seasonings & marinade with chicken.
* adjust the marinades sauce with 1 to 1 to 1 ratio !
3. Heat oil into frying pan over medium-low heat, skin faces down, fry until golden brown & flip, cover with the lid & steam cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
4. Remove from the frying pan once chicken is cooked, pour in marinated sauce, adjust the taste if is necessary ( Mirin or soy sauce ) & cook until consistency.
5. Season with salt into egg mixture, whisk well.
6. Heat oil into frying pan over low heat, pour in egg mixture, stir well with 2 pairs of chopsticks until cooked.
* can do very fine grain fried eggs with 2 pairs of chopsticks !
7. Fill up full of Bento box with cooked rice, drizzle Teriyaki sauce over rice, sprinkle shreds edible seaweed & fried eggs on top of rice.

8. Chicken cut into bite-sized, place on top of fried eggs & snow peas at the side, drizzle the remaining Teriyaki sauce on top & is done ~ !

Pay attention to safety & hygiene when packing the Bento !
Note 1: Food Should Be Fully Cooked
- Meat, fish, must be fully cooked, especially ground meat, eggs are easy to spoil, especially be careful !
Note 2: Food Should Be Cooled & Refilled
- If the food is still hot, put it directly in the Bento, for food that might spoil easily.
- Before you pack cold/cool food in your Bento box, hot/warm rice must be cooled down.
- It’s dangerous when hot/warm rice heat up other food halfway because bad bacteria would start growing.
* The dishes I introduced is Japanese-style Bento.
It can be eaten at room temperature (not heated directly).
Of course is no problem by heating !
