Here’s a good counter for JJ McCarthy, the reason they didn’t win the natty in 22 was because they lost to TCU in the semis because McCarthy threw two pick 6s
@themichaelbrandon
6 ай бұрын
A few other things contributed to Michigan's loss to TCU, but sure blame JJ. Nevermind the fact that the defense gave up 37 points or the fact that Michigan had a TD catch overturned but let's talk about JJ for a second here because all everyone wants to talk about is how he never had to air it out or that Michigan is run heavy. Against TCU JJ attempted 34 passes for 343 yards and rushed for another 52 yards. Nearly 400 total yards. Yes he threw two interceptions which both resulted in defensive touchdowns (a result of which is a probability anomaly). A fluck or worse case scenario which ultimately lead to a loss. His only loss as a starter by the way. So let's entertain the alternative in which his two interceptions didn't result in any points and only a turnover of downs. Does TCUs offense capitalize on those possessions and score 14? Who knows, and that's not the point. This season Sanders, Williams, Daniels, Davis also accumulated multiple 400 yard games and also lost yet they're praised as more talented and explosive when in reality the thing they all have in common is that they're losers. JJ was a loser in his game against TCU and it was also his highest yardage performance and it was clear that while JJ was capable of putting up numbers, it doesn't win games.

Wildes was spot on about all the extra money he makes as the QB of the Dallas Cowboys vs most other teams. Something he really should consider. His ego to need to be the "highest paid player" might end up costing him more (if it ends up like that).

again, what you're saying and what everyone is trying to make a case for makes no sense. he literally played 2 full seasons at Washington. this is the first time recency is not a factor in the draft process. for 2 years straight he was arguably the most healthy and most efficient QB in all of college. the last time he was hurt was 3 years ago. the last 2 years going into the draft he's been healthy which should speak to his weight room, diet, and work ethic saying that he finally got it right and shouldnt be a risk. even Mich Dline during the title game restarting his Oline and beating up on him he still walked out of that game and had no surgeries this off season leading up to the draft. so again, that's crazy how he went from potential no.1 pick before the draft to "maybe" the 5th QB off the board. and im by no means a fan of the PAC10 or whatever they were

I think they’re downplaying the Sneed loss, KC only won the sb because of 3 straight 3 and outs. I would bet good money that if Dak hits free agency his deal will be for $60M/year minimum. So many teams are desperate for quality QB play that Dak is guaranteed to hit those numbers. The Broncos, Raiders, Steelers, Jets, Giants, Patriots, Titans,, Vikings, Bucs, Rams and Commies could all be in the QB market desperate for a guy depending on how the draft falls this year and how those guys perform. I'd even add the Dolphins depending on what they decide to do with Tua. Bru brings up Lamar but he was franchise tagged and would've cost a record deal and two first round picks. The Ravens also could've matched that deal and the team would've spent all that time and effort for nothing. Dak will be totally unencumbered, and a guy that's averaged almost 11 wins a season in his career won't cost anything but money

Its amazing that the Cowboys still have these headlines, a quarter of century after any success. Jerry Jones' marketing money to the networks is very well spent.

Let Dak walk. People keep forgetting that he’s a fourth round pick, who is being paid elite money, and routinely fall short in playoff situations.

Yes, as soon as he leaves the Cowboys, I'll completely forget about Dak but still follow all things Cowboys. Their too comical to not follow.

Who TF do you guys have ?? Y'all wish you could produce any QB that spit out Dak's production lol The cowboys are a circus run by an egotistical owner/GM. Dak should leave that place ASAP.

We're going on 9 years with Dak what more do we need to see? It's time to move on and finally draft a QB in the first round, something we haven't done since 1989!

He has a concerning injury history and is already 27. Next year they may feel the loss but doubtful he plays at this level for the entirety of his contract.

I am really stunned you guys did not bring up Trey Lance as a possible reason why Jerry might let Dak walk. I would not be surprised if Jerry thinks he has Dak's replacement in the building already. Seriously, Jerry can low ball Lance on a 2 year 'prove it' contract and at worse use him as a bridge QB. Dak was a 4th round pick, Trey cost him a 4th round pick. Jerry was super happy getting Trey, so Dallas seems to really value him. Plus, Trey is only 23 (24 in May), so he is super young and was the #3 pick over all... Jerry might feel everything that happened to him in San Fran was due to maturity and just starting to soon. He will have two years to sit behind Dak to learn, grow, and mature. Is Trey worth it? I don't know, but it does seem to be a valid possibility to me and at least worthy of discussion as a possibility.

Lifelong Cowboys fan here. Max Dak at $45/year & address all other needs. A mistake to offer more. Add 1-2 years & max the guarantee at $180M over 6 years.

Romo definitely didn't have as good of teams as Dak has had. Id trust a prime Romo to get it done with last year's team or at least get to the Superbowl to lose😅
