I always wished this would go on longer. Fabulous childhood memories. I still love this tune 50 years on , absolutely marvellous. Oh happy days.

All I can say is that at 58 yrs old, am I thankful to lived through the TV programme's I did. The one's today are nothing in comparison, all CGI and Animated. Not the same skill level for its day back then.

RIP Gordon Murray, the creator of Camberwick Green, Trumpton, and Chigley. He died June 30th 2016 at age 95.

Now that's what I call a proper proletariat. Is it any wonder Marx got all his ideas from from watching Chigley as a child? By contrast his reactionary predilection for strong cider and stone ground granary bread is testament to the subversive influence of Camberwick Green's Windy Miller.

This was filmed shortly before there was a drunken brawl, that ended with the riot police quickly neutralising the threat .... sadly it's an all to common sight in the village nowadays
