The other reference Bible I use that Work is my first memory verse Bible from Scandinavia publishing house. It’s also a board book and pretty well written with giving a brief description of the Bible story that the verse comes from. I also love that it has a handle and it has a soft cover on the outside. Soft but sturdy cover. Soft with the plastic on the outside that’s squishy.

I have been strict about using the KJV only for the majority of my saved life, but recently changed my perspective and began searching for the best children's bibles for my family. This video has been a huge help. Thank you!

A good one I would recommend if you’re looking for a KJV kids one is the child story Bible by Katherine Vose or the laugh and learn Bible for kids by Phil Fisher because he does mention that it’s a link between going from religious videos for children to your parents, old king James version. he is also the creator of VeggieTales and the stories are pretty funny in that one. Honestly, besides the child story Bible, one of my favorites.

I use the beginners Bible timeless children’s stories as my Bible for Work. It’s pretty much my main Bible that I use because I work at a church where I sing and play piano and bass guitar. And during the sermons when we’re reading the word of God I have this Bible in my work bag and I pull it out when it’s time to read, the text and I look for the story that goes along with whatever text or reading in the adult Bible. Or a story that’s very similar to what we’re reading in the adult version. I don’t have the adult version because I haven’t found it yet, and I wouldn’t be able to understand it anyway, because of my autism, but, the beginners Bible is absolutely wonderful. I’ve also been trying some other Bibles, children’s Bibles to see which ones I liked and which ones I thought we’re OK. There’s this Bible by publications international that I’ve started reading called night night bedtime Bible. Or something like that. It’s written by publications international and it is an amazing story Bible. For a board book Bible for toddlers it is beautifully written like a normal story story. And it even tells you who illustrated the stories which is awesome. I liked it. It reads like a normal story just like the beginners Bible and like the other Bible that, I found or what I mean to say is another Bible that I found which is called 70 easy to read Bible stories. I just started reading that one too and I love it! The babies story Bible is pretty good and it’s got actions that you can do with the story like making your hands, wiggle around like rain to show the big flood that Noah protected himself and the animals from. Honestly beautifully written beginners Bible and 70 easy Bible stories and night night story Bible. It’s not the newer version that’s written by somebody else, it is the publications international version from 2002. It has a little opening in the topfront cover of the book that makes it look like a picture frame because there’s a big picture on the first page of the board book. It shows you the inside large picture at the beginning.

I love this Rachel! We are constantly going through bibles and I love hearing about new children’s types to get! I love storybook bibles because I feel that children can understand the main bible but lets me real... adding colors and images can help it make a lasting impression! I found Jesus through a children’s program! I love how you explained it and I agree 100% .

Yes, I love the real Bible but for really young children, the stories and the personalities in Scripture can get lost in the complex sentences and details. I think when children have a chance to get to know some of the basics through storybook Bibles, it becomes easier to understand the actual Bible as they grow.

Thank you for sharing these bibles. Most children’s Bibles are poorly illustrated. What color a character is in the picture and the hair color doesn’t matter to me as long as the story is accurate and at a child’s level of understanding.

Im not fussed wat translation I use personally and I love bible story books for my kids b4 they start reading the bible and there’s nothing wrong wiv reading bible story’s from the bible as kids grow onward to adulthood. I love my Bible story book but I haven’t bought that for my kids I bought a different one so we have a different one so it shows a different view. My bible story book had Paul and revelation in. I love the bible story books where they break the Stories down into episodes so if they can’t listen for too long u can break it down. I’ve used the toddler beginner bible for my daughter to read at 5 then got her to read the beginner bible afterwards wen she was ready. I have a 10 year old and we bought her a kids bible at 7 knowing she would use both her bible story book and her kids bible.

@@SevenInAll oh no! Do you have to order straight from websites or how do you order things you want?
@SevenInAll
3 жыл бұрын
@@sarahmora5207 Our main strategy for getting curriculum and such has been to wait until a family member or friend is traveling from the USA to here and then order books that they can carry over in a suitcase (one of my sisters visited once with nothing but the clothes on her back, and just wore my clothes for her whole trip, because she suitcases were fully packed with schoolbooks for the family, haha!) We have some local Amazon-like options for online book retailers, but none of them have the wide selection. I did find one site that sold Spanish picture books and shipped here, and had a reasonable price, so I ordered 6 picture books for Christmas--it took over 9 weeks for the books to arrive! So...most of the time we tend to wait patiently for the 'suitcase/visitor' method of shopping for the sorts of supplies that we can't get here. But during a pandemic...that doesn't really happen.

I recommend the NIrV as a follow up to these Bibles. It’s easier to read than the NIV, but it is a real Bible. I had one with 12 font and headings. My children actually read it in their free time and it got so tattered I threw it away. Warning: The Bible does have scandalous parts. If you don’t want your little readers reading those parts, stick with the KJV. They are unlikely to read it in their free time, and if they do, a lot of things will go over their heads. The NIrV doesn’t say “Adam knew his wife and she conceived...”. It is a lot more obvious. 😌
@SevenInAll
3 жыл бұрын
I have heard the NIrV recommended before, also for ESL speakers wanting to try reading the Bible in English. And yes, the Bible itself has all sorts of scandalous parts. I've joked that in all reality, it's the most scandalous book I've ever read. The Old Testament has lots and lots of conversation starters...
